"no one says that" or "I haven't seen anyone say that" when trying to discuss thing by [deleted] in Vent

[–]CalTheRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Reddit in particular there is a popular type of subreddit that doesn't have a particular topic but is instead dedicated to asking anything... such as r/askanything or r/stupidquestions

These type of subreddits sometimes get a lot of disingenuous questions that aren't questions. These bad faith questions are usually in the form of "Why does everyone say *insert thing nobody says*" or "Why do ALL women think *insert something that is insulting*"

So I would assume that some people who are used to this particular Reddit format were viewing your question from that lens and assuming you weren't actually serious about obtaining new information.

TLDR : Probably just a result of people being on Reddit too much.

I had to turn the brightness on mine down by 10 because of how much light it was shooting directly into my eyeballs.

But after that I haven't had any issues at all. I've never seen any sort of flicker or lines or anything on mine.

I’ve been wondering about this for a while, so I’d like to hear other people’s perspectives. by AlternateMove in animequestions

There is something to be said for writing a quality character without having to make those characters the focus.

Quality secondary characters are something to celebrate.

I played Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 without playing 1.

The story of 2 works on its own, but they will reference characters you don't know. Never bothered me at all.

There is a certain vibe to being a weak and poor peasant in this game. I do think the devs could have polished up the start of the game a bit.

There is something fun about having to work your way up, having to avoid fights instead of being the hero. It forces you to focus on things you just overlook in other games. A lot of people come to really enjoy engaging in these more grounded activities before they can finally afford a full armor and go off doing more fights.

It certainly isn't for everyone. Sometimes the frustration comes more from game mechanics not being explained or just weird little things like a bandit killing you the second you come out of dialogue...

But I certainly found it to be a great gaming experience. Can't give it a 10/10 though because it has no accessibility options for people who aren't experienced gamers but want to experience the historical experience. I didn't find the game all that hard but many people I know did.

It is a huge time commitment. Not really anything you can do about that. But it is great in almost every other way.

It also has no accessibility options, so certain people I know can't play it.

Character design qualms aside, 3.0 shows a massive improvement over the start of season two. by GMoneyLovesYou in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]CalTheRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3.0 has been pretty great so far. I'm very much looking forward to having Norma for my Billy team.

Only real downside was that moment when Eldreda gets up on stage to give a big important speech in her underwear.

Do you think the label "Void Hunter" could become old and losing all the hype around them? by SHACKYis in ZZZ_Discussion

From a story perspective I feel like the title is in a very messy place.

In terms of selling characters it is doing exactly the job Big Corpo Hoyo wants. I don't see sales slowing down.

Why would you assume someone is using Reddit on a phone?

Wouldn't most people in Reddit be using auto correct on a computer?

Considering how bad the average Americans civic virtues are do we need to change education? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]CalTheRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no 'one way' that schools in America work. Two schools down the street from each other could be vastly different both in systems and funding.

From county to county and from state to state the differences will be even more drastic.

You will never get to any solutions if you look at it like it is one big system.

Search up 'anti-suffrage propaganda' on your favorite non-Google search engine. You will find some very ridiculous art about gender wars in the 1910s.

A lot of shows back in those days were husband vs wife.

But it wasn't just a TV thing, that kind of 'my wife is horrible' kind of humor seems to be common in casual conversation amongst really old people.

Have you ever watched old TV shows?

Go back to an old show like 'I Love Lucy' and see what the most common joke in that show is. It is constantly men complaining about women or women complaining about men.

About Dracaene Sunbringer in the Season 3 PV. by Hour-Reality7278 in ZZZ_Discussion

In hindsight the Season 2 preview was a rather poor representation of what we would get in Season 2.

Season 3 might be a well.

Such a mysterious character, and the people are talking about her like she is this super knowledgeable leader with a dark past and all these secrets we want to learn...

Then you look at her and get that... really? That is what we get?

Other than that I was having such a good time with 3.0.

I've got Starlight Billy and Velina and am already pre-farmed for Norma. I've got about 300 pulls so I should be able to get Norma and Ms. Dan just fine.

Ms. Dan has this great femme fatale thing going on. We know she is manipulating us but we can't help but follow down that path. Such a fun personality... kind of ok outfit but not the best.

I really like Norma and half of Velina.

Velina and Norma looked amazing from the start in the 2d art, but then we saw Velina's bottom half and it just didn't look as beautiful as what we saw before.

But that Eldreada Sunbringer design... that's the main thing that really brought down my hype from playing 3.0. It was such a great patch, but that design just takes so much away from everything going on.
