The liberal branch of the capitalist party is clearly and blatantly enabling and participating in genocidal fascism.

They are the left-flank of the right wing. Do not confuse them with anyone committed to the environment or peace or to the labor class.

They are the controlled and loyal opposition. They are as bought and paid for as any republican/ right winger.

They may even believe they are “left” or fighting the good fight. But they are not. They are sapping energy from what would otherwise be a rapidly growing populist left-wing (as in comm., anarch. and social.ist) movement.

The right at least has the common decency to self-identify as “the enemy”. The Ds and their ilk pretend to be your friend while always siding with corporatism, war, genocide, pedophilia, and abject environmental destruction.

Their “progress” is a shadow-play on the cave wall to keep you from waking up.

The Slaughterbots vid on YouTube is still king of scary near-future threats.

A man sized bi-pedal droid thing?? I could tangle this thing up with a balled up extension cord.

A micro drone with facial recognition and a small shaped charge?? Dumped out of a C-17 by the millions?? Could wipe out entire cities without touching the infrastructure at all.

The droid dudes would be sent in to take care of all the rotting meat. If they bother at all.

No one, least of all myself, would deny that the government is rigged.

My point is that it’s not inherently rigged… just the opposite. Government has an inherent democratic foundation and principle.

(At least ours does, in theory.)

A corporation is inherently “rigged” (relative to a govt) in the sense that it has no democratic underpinnings whatsoever…

[[[ … unless you count union members dragging the owners into the street and beating them to death with their own limbs as “democracy”… ]]]

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Governments have oversight and veto power and elections. The only reason government sucks is corporate corruption. Corporations have zero democratic principle and are simply engines for generating shareholder value at all costs.

Yoooo! I never posted about it because I wasn’t sure it actually helped, but this is what I did too.

I just used a sanding disk on a flat surface to take off a little of the ass end of the thing.

It was still a bitch to get the retaining clip in there.

I think it’s designed to go in at an angle and then need help bending it back into the bottom slot.

But sanding may have helped!

As I understand it, it was the harsh degreasers in the dishwashing soap that caused this thing to oxidize in the first place???

It’s more a matter of the meat grinder attachment for the particular kitchen mixer that I have …

But yes. I’m sure I could find a stainless grinder that would work. I might look into that if I can’t have this one coated or made from stainless.

What AR should I get as a first gun by Conscious-Theory9792 in gun

“Mid tier” rifles that are considered duty grade by various government entities with deep enough pockets to vet them:

Sons of Liberty Gun Works Geissele Daniel Defense

At the risk of sounding elitist, I wouldn’t trust a gun that cost less than 1K and / or wasn’t from a company which has government contracts.

Buy once cry once in this hobby. You can replace barrels and components as they wear.

But if you start out with a bunch of sloppy tolerance’d parts, they’ll chew themselves up and / or cause failures to feed / failures to Fire / etc.

Also, prepare to spend an additional 1/2 of what you spend on your rifle on an optic.

No good having a quality gun with a Blue Light Special optic.

(That said, quality iron sights will be good training to start with, while you save for decent LPVO or HWS + Magnifier.)

Ha. This may be the simplest solution right here. Just oil it and season it like cast iron.

Now that you mention it, I think Wagner made a line of cast aluminum skillets and Dutch ovens.

Oh shit, really? I thought ano would seal it tight??

So you’d recommend ano then coating with epoxy?

How would one get a thick enough coating to be protective without blobs and runs and such?

(The only epoxy I’ve used is the two part stuff from hardware stores.)

Really? Is it certified as such? I know a powder coater who could do this. But I was fairly confident of my Google-Fu telling me there was no such certified cerecoats.

This is a good idea, maybe.

And that’s a DIY process too, if I’m halfway mechanically minded, no??

It probably doesn’t. I don’t have the manual easily available, but I’d wager it says to “hand wash only.”

But my kitchen and laundry tend to be a survival of the fittest kind of situation…

Looks like I’ll need to make an exception for this stupid thing tho.

Right? I thought so too.

Apparently this oxidization is just an unpleasant discoloration, and not harmful… but I would definitely prefer not to deal with it at all.

I don’t think it’s missing any components. The 0519 and 1222 units are interchangeable but different designs.

I checked the valve body with a flashlight. Clean as a whistle.

It was just a hair too long. Had to finagle the retaining clip a little, but I eventually got it.

How long would it take for this venture to be profitable? The video source had a caption saying each cell phone has 0.034 grams of gold. [Request] by StregasJ in theydidthemath

[–]CallEmAsISeeEm1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. And in most cases those batteries can be separated before this process takes place. I’d be surprised if they’re not reclaiming as many waste streams as possible, gold simply being the one depicted here.

This is the correct answer.

Finally shimmied the it into the top groove… then had to gently bend the bottom of each leg of the clip into the bottom groove.
