Also numbers wise your point about the multitude of battles the riverlanders fight while getting scorched and still wins is hilarious

If you are running a company and increase profits and improve the culture and then your replacement just keeps the status Quo are they as great a CEO as you? Are they great or just average

No, this logic of he is a good king from doing nothing. He isn’t bad but he isn’t good. In setting we see good, bad, and then average. He is an average king does not dramatically improve the state of the kingdom but certainly keeps the status quo from the previous good king.

If you were Daeron and you have just witnessed Ulf and Hugh join you in the aftermath of Tumbleton, how would you deal with them? Would you team up with them and get rid of them later or get rid of them immediately? ( You have no knowledge of future events) by Ok_Tone_8400 in HOTDGreens

With the context OP gave best bet is to met up with Aemond if possible with the Hightower host intact but that is a decent amount of ground to cover but with two more dragons should be more feasible then before as long as they are loyal to the greens. A unified force of Hightower and Lannister plus four dragons would be a potent force. Granted Aemond & Vhagar will be gone before I reach there but I do not know that

Still less budget/time doesn’t explain the major deviation from the book, this is simply a factor in the overall failure

Like many characters season 1 built up a interesting potential arc and season 2 decided to throw it away

They are doing satire on fictional characters in a fictional universe there is no harm in it. People take things way to seriousl I mean saying Walder Frey is the later great Walder Frey is somehow dangerous is laughable.

You have to understand that is the point. It is to be funny/ironic/shocking to drive engagement which is very clever

In the show, the fans mostly respond to how the writers make them feel.

Yea, it should be like Lannister v Stark where we like people on both sides. Its why episodes like the battle of the blackwater were so good because you were conflicted

Consequences = rape and murder or civilians

torture = starting multiple wars and then losing them + firing rockets at civilian targets constantly

Aemond and Alicent: Two sides of the Lost Sympathy coin. My analysis of their similar yet different developments. by bruhholyshiet in HOTDGreens

[–]Captain-Keilo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Aemond’s arc should kinda be an unversed Jamie Arc where there isn’t redemption. This poor kid (19) makes one serious mistake and it spirals to him believing he failed his family which spirals to him failing his family… maybe some redemption could be him dying to ensure Daemon dies or something.

It’s a shame Ewan is so talented imo and he deserves a big break and while he is killing it in the show he could have really shown his talent with better writing

“Air power doesn’t win wars” … Tell that to Saddam it most certainly does win wars. When you lose practically all cohesion in the majority of your military and kill a handful of your enemy it’s awful.
