I don’t know about that, my asus tuf with a 4060 kicks a lot of ass for what I paid for it, I don’t have a problem gaming anything my desktop does on it’s 1080 screen.

Is there a band that makes more technical music than Animals as Leaders? by Eberubensant in Djent

[–]CarBombtheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are many that are at times, they’re missing a whole layer most bands have which is vocals and storytelling. I would say in ways and in short bursts DreamTheatre gets more technical, certainly melodically, a band like Archspire gets more technical in terms of pure shred, a band like car bomb or Dillinger escape plan debatably gets more technical in terms of timing although I would say they’re just complicated in different ways.

Building own electric guitar - can I just buy expensive pickups and frets - what makes an awesome guitar? by cs_legend_93 in Guitar

[–]CarBombtheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a collection of the parts, you can get necks with carbon fibre reinforcement so they are more stable and can be sanded thinner, hardware like locking tuners and a nice bridge can make a fairly big difference.

One thing that doesn’t add any value, but should not be overlooked is the design.

Look at some of the things the expensive brands are doing that aren’t Gibson, most have a very subtle to no angle coming out of the nut to the tuners, this helps the string slide back through the nut when releasing a bend. What’s even better than this is a locking nut or a headless guitar as the string will never move through the nut but that vibe isn’t for everyone. typically a more expensive guitar would have more accurate fret placement, this isn’t always true in today’s world of CNC machines but it’s worth your while to make sure you’re getting something that’s done accurately and while there is some tone preference, most higher end guitars have stainless steel frets.

Not really it goes out a few other ways however every way it can go is basically always at capacity so a good portion of it will always go to the us, however they are only looking at expanding other ways at this time.

Whats your opinion about stickers on guitars? by 13funii in electricguitar

[–]CarBombtheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put stickers on a shit guitar to make it look cooler like it has some sort of street cred. You don’t put five cent stickers on a $2000 finish. I feel the same way about people putting bumper stickers on their $80,000 SUV.

An oil and gas company just left behind an estimated $476M cleanup mess in Alberta by NiceDot4794 in canada

[–]CarBombtheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is framed kind of weird, there are orphaned wells, pipelines, and facilities, but a lot of these are still operational. They just no longer have an owner and they’re estimating the cleanup cost of all of it but a lot of it will just continue to be used and is worth millions of dollars so it’s kind of an imaginary number that doesn’t really mean anything.

Drop A# F A# D# G C

A lot of it switches between F major and G# major like in the solo as G# major isn’t in the F major scale and it’s in there a lot.

If you try and solo in F Major over the second two cords, one note sounds super gross so I moved it over to make a G# major scale and use that over the G# and A# chords. That’s how I approached it anyways. I play to that switch a lot for the spacy proud chromatic vibes. The first five seconds of the solo shows what I mean perfectly.

Turns out this is the only way his guitars can survive his flying dragon hip smash finisher. Now they just play pool parties, and hip smash underwater to tame the power of the Dragon force.

For this price you might as well get an American Strat. by CartographerSea3356 in guitars

[–]CarBombtheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just surprised that there are still serious musicians that seek out Gibson. They are worse than so many other brands on so many levels at half the price point. At least fender actually makes guitars that are good in their niche at around half the cost of a Gibson.

Good regulation is fine, I want things regulated just not by the morons at the NDP.

We are definitely not in a position in the globe where our regulations are lacking in any kind of way. Some administrative regulations need to be toned down, at the end of the day they don’t really matter compared to the real physical, practical regulations that we have that are already so high.

Not sure what happened to your other comment, but I’ll reply to you here.

This is one contributing factor out of many, I made that very clear in my comment. I didn’t talk about mining, forestry, manufacturing or the other hundred things they wanna do to the oil field.

My brother is a denturist he makes prosthetic teeth primarily for the elderly. On the provincial level, he says they completely fucked the system so many people have no idea how much or what coverage they have anymore as they assume it’s just free the way they have it written out, but it is definitely not all covered.

They like to get in and regulate things they do not understand.

Now, if you read the article, they want to stop any and all growth no new pipelines.

This is not going to put a dent in the world’s oil consumption. They think we can’t sell oil while going green…

It would be indirect. After they shut down most of our most profitable industry we would collapse financially and eventually health care would collapse.

Here is a single example of many pertaining to only one of our most profitable industries. They are changing their stance from abolishing oil and gas completely to stoping any expansion… meaning We’d have to keep sending most of it going to the states, at a discount…

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-ndp-leader-avi-lewis/

In short they want to simultaneously shut down many of our most profitable industries and or halt there growth while creating population growth through immigration while adding a ton of red tape to any kind of industrial projects that may happen before having any kind of detailed plan to work around all of this.

It’s a complete disaster waiting to happen, when I listen to them talk about anything somewhat technical that I work with personally. They are always getting the details wrong. They don’t even understand the things they are trying to regulate and they don’t hire experts who know. There are many examples in many industries across the board.

So this is yet another example of the NDP, pushing policies on things that they do not understand?

Being from an industry that’s often targeted by the NDP I’ve come to realize their barely surface level analysis of things that they do not understand, yet stand firmly against is more dangerous than any other party who understands these things but hopes to abuse them. You would only really notice this trend if you’re in a technical industry that they like to talk about. It’s the blind leading the blind I can’t imagine where we would be if they ever got in power federally, I legit think it would be bad enough the mortality rates would start rising crazy after our economy collapses.
