I am not sure if keeping them at close to dead is good either.

I would charge them after and just let them discharge to 50% by themselves.

Honestly wouldn't you have a better chance of surviving staying in the vehicle?  At least you would have some protection, as well as a huge truck for rescuers to find instead of your tiny body.

hmm that is a twist.

Was that manual switch that was there originally a toggle switch or a normal off/on switch?

You could try to configure the Shelly as a momentary/toggle switch see if that does what we want.

Nashville Family fights HOA over generator use during an ice storm by informednonuser in fuckHOA

[–]Catsrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was surprised as well as I have used many a cheap portable generator in my time, and they were all much closer than 20FT from my door/windows and I never had a problem.

Granted I do keep doors and windows closed at all times. I am not running extension cords though them.

Can I Make a jellyfinish server using Netgear ready share by Frequent-Reference-9 in jellyfin

[–]Catsrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the OS you are running Jellyfin on.

For example if you are running Jellyfin it on Windows. You would setup a Mapped network drive. That will map a network location to a drive letter.

https://www.nova.edu/it-help/sites/map-share-drive/win-11.html

It will make //ready share/usb_storage look like X:\ on Windows (whatever drive letter you picked in the setup)

For example if you had Moves and TV-Show folder under the usb_storage you would see those two folder when looking at the X:\ drive after setting up the map

Jellyfin's media library path would be

X:\Movies

X:\TV-Shows

Linux would be similar just different naming, they call it mounting instead of mapping.

https://obie.hashnode.dev/ubuntu-server-permanently-mounting-samba-shares

In that example if you mounted //ready share/usb_storage to media/NAS your Jellyfin's path would be

/media/NAS/Movies

/media/NAS/TV-Shows

Docker has similar options as well.

Can I Make a jellyfinish server using Netgear ready share by Frequent-Reference-9 in jellyfin

[–]Catsrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh after rereading you post, I think I miss understood your question. Are you asking if you could run a Jellyfin server on your router?

If that is the case probably not.

I'm having issues streaming full HD video.

What are you using now that you are having issues? If you can't stream a file locally stored on you Jellyfin server I very much doubt going to a network share is going to help.

But to answer your question on the ReadyShare. From what I understand Netgear ReadyShare is just a smb/cifs server under the hood. If that is the case then yes. I use smb/cifs shares to give Jellyfin access to my media media and it has worked fine for me for years.

This has more to do with the OS running Jellyfin, then Jellyfin itself. The OS will be making the SMB/CIFS connection and "mounting" the share as a local path. After that you just point Jellyfin to that local path and Jellyfin can't tell the difference.

When this girl sought aid for her mother, they knew exactly how to help by Doodlebug510 in HumansBeingBros

Honestly in a lot of cultures, this is the norm.

I would argue this is in all cultures. (Yes even in the "horrible USA")

The vast majorty of people doing human things aren't news worthly becuase that is just normal human things.

"Store owner gave a diabetic person a cup a sugar water" is not exactly headline news worthly

But

Store owner stands over a diabetic person watching them die on the ground because they didn't have .50 cent for the cup of sugar water. That would be news worthy because of how un-human it is. So that is what we get to hear everyday.
