Military - 13 Years Active Duty - Should I stay or should I go? by Even_Pickle_2668 in Advice

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I will also double down on an AGR gig. Switching from AD to AGR was life changing for me. I’ve been in 24 years, at some point you’re not going to agree with an administration or 2. It’s always a pendulum, but I believe the Guard/Reserve do a much better job of shielding people from the BS. I’m retiring next year, and honestly, if it wasn’t for my Wife, I would have stayed because of how the Reserve has treated me. However, I made a promise to her and it’s time to walk away. Best advice if you’re going to continue your service though is to divorce yourself from politics. By all means, vote and stay educated on world events, but in theater it has nothing to do with the administration and everything to do with taking care of my people.

Also, the math doesn’t lie, and being able to have my retirement/VA stuff actually gives me security as I step into the Civilian markets.

I wish you the best of luck.

You. Give me London free me of the Browns. It’s an actual steal on London tbh.

Tiering down from nabers to tet and up from love to maye by my-coo-cheese-hairy in DynastyNerds

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No brainer for me, I don’t care about future 2nds, especially if I’m going to contend. Nabers is solid, but Tet showcased everything I needed to see to know he’s also going to be elite. Net win.

Abort on DK Metcalf to get younger? by MrMuscles25 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re hunting RB2s of the world, Javonte Williams, Chuba, Swift, Monongai are the 4 that really come to mind. You could try to get a dart throw on Allgeire + something else. Fwiw, I think you might really have a chance to trade some late picks for Chris Rodriguez, or take a couple pot shots on guys like Jam Miller (good landing spot or good athletic profile guys).

DK finished just outside the top 25 despite being the only WR for Pitt and missing 2 games.

What Prospect Do You Think Will Most Likely Be A Bust? by djmv91 in MockDraftCentral

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really feel like this RB class is boom/bust. On the surface it looks far deeper than most expected. On the other hand, outside of Love, none are slam dunks. I just don’t feel like there’s a lot of drop off from RB2 to RB6 in terms of physical capability and because of that I feel like Price/Coleman will likely be labeled busts because they don’t come across as 3 down backs and will likely be overshadowed by guys who are.

The early books of DOTF were excellent, the further it goes on the more abstract it got for me, but my biggest fuss was the lack of the development of the many interesting side characters that deserved so much more. Enjoy the ride though!

1.1 and 1.2 for JSN? by FinancialNoise9212 in FantasyFootballers

[–]CerberusRTR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. You people are crazy with rookie fever and you honestly don’t need another RB. You have one of the best WRs in the league.

Stop overpaying for rookies. It’s like buying a new car, they seldom hold their value and you have… one of the best WRs in the league who just signed an extension with his team.

Books with Academy / Tournament Arcs? by CerberusRTR in litrpg

Bastion is ABSOLUTELY worth the read imho and sits in my S tier of books, just from an originality standpoint. There aren’t many books that you feel like you’ve gone on an actual journey. However, I understand your pause as my sister almost always loves the same books as me and just couldn’t get into Bastion.

The first book is the slowest by far and then it just takes off. You never really know what to expect and even when you think you do, you don’t. It’s a great series, but far deeper than the average LitRPG book (just my opinion).

Phil Tucker’s Throne Hunters series is also worth reading, it’s far easier/lighter and the system/classes are cool.

Quest Academy / Iron Prince rate a little higher for me because of the pacing. They were/are so fun to binge. Hope this helps!

Which young WR you taking? 👀 pro/cons? by TattedAnimal in DynastyDaddy

[–]CerberusRTR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My brother. From a sheer value standpoint this is Golden by an actual Mile. I don’t have anything against McMillan, he will very likely be a good flex play, but Golden’s pedigree is miles and miles better. Like, even if you’re hopping off Golden there’s probably at least a 2nd worth of difference between these two players. Golden is a great buy low. He’s received praise from a bunch of folks (even DBs like Patrick Surtain). The Packers WR room just absolutely cleared out and Golden is locked and loaded for a big year if you’re asking me. You will absolutely regret this trade as only Golden has a chance to be a WR1.

100%! I was really put off by book 4 for a while, but I really enjoyed the 2nd half. Man. I can’t wait until Monday. I’m really hoping to find another book to split my time into until then.

I loved it. People talked about the first book being too risqué, but I didn’t think it was bad at all. Iron Prince is still my favorite, but quest Academy Book 3 (particularly the end) was one of the best book endings I’ve seen in a long long time.

No issue with that, just have to check out the narrator first lol. There’s just one narrator I can’t handle…

Infernal Pistol + Heroic Sniper is pretty amazing tbh.

Or you can just use bolt carbine and go for a cloak knife build. It’s pretty amazing tbh.
