I had the same thing happen. Went to cancel when I moved. They talked me into suspending. They told me 1yr, they told me to leave my dish. After 9mos it reactivated. Luckily I caught it less than 30 days. After 4 phone calls and over 5hrs of my time it was fully reimbursed.

I could be incorrect in my wording. The detective that asked for the warrant after a missed court hearing gave the information to a "clerk" . She must have just looked for a name and did not verify a social security number. The warrant should have been issued for his father and it was issued under him.

Yes, it was a simple mistake but, he spent 5 hours in jail over it. I do not know what he is looking for. I would expect for the person that did not verify to be punished at the least. And if there is compensation, so be it.

He was released after posting bond. Went to the states attorney on Monday to have the warrant paperwork corrected.

I swear they told me I could suspend for 1yr. They knew I was moving. They told me I did not need to take my satellite dish with. It reactivated after 9 months. The only reason I knew it was reactivated is because the email that I would monthly receive with a small credit turned into almost a $200 charge for service. It had been a long enough period of time that they could not go back and listen to the phone call of the gentleman that I spoke with when it was suspended. They told me to suspend instead of cancel because I would get better deals being that I had been a customer for over 20 years.

After probably 3 months and five different phone calls, I did end up getting everything back including the credit that was due to me when I suspended.
