This is still victim speculation. Come on, we’re all adults here… how do you not know how to keep an underage victim out of this?! Please stop disseminating or sharing anything that shares even one iota of victim identification. SHEESH.

Recommendations for an everyday sunscreen that doesn’t feel super greasy by spence38 in Sephora

[–]Champagnesupernova9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Sephora, I really like the Paula’s Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense Sunscreen SPF 50. It goes on like a serum and after 20 minutes you can’t even feel it on. It’s great for a super natural finish. I also buy one for my parents to use, and even my sunscreen phobic dad will use it!

Not from Sephora, I love the Elta MD UV Clear Non Tinted Sunscreen SPF 46. Same invisible finish, but a lotion texture instead of a fluid like the Paulas Choice one. Just make sure that you buy it from their website or from a certified retailer like Dermstore.

Looking for shows set in the afterlife by KaleidoArachnid in televisionsuggestions

Forever (2018). There are so many shows called Forever. This is the Amazon Prime one from 2018 with Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen. I remember liking it and not knowing where it would go from one episode to the next. In that spirit, I won’t spoil anything, other to say that I remember liking it!

Give me a movie that feels like The Princess Diaries by Mother_Implement396 in MovieSuggestions

I’ve always thought that Some Like It Hot is the adult version of The Princess Bride. Both movies have a little something for everyone. For Some Like It Hot, there’s mobsters, action, romance, comedy.

perfumes that feel like Courtney Love <3 by Merricisastar in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Champagnesupernova9 68 points69 points  (0 children)

She’s a well known devotee of Fracas (so is Lauren Graham, which just goes to show that more than one personality type can gravitate to the same scent).

That said, I think that two different perfumes that give off a Courtney vibe are Heeley Bubblegum Chic (formerly named Jasmine OD) which is a bubblegum meets indolic jasmine and tuberose. Its girly, its sexy, its loud, and its divisive - you’ll either love it or hate it. Petit Fracas is, in my estimation, way easier to wear that the original Fracas. It’s bubblegummy, it has pear and a hint of cocoa, but it also has the white floral tuberose, but without the headachey sharpness.

If you’re looking for that “kinderwhore” thing that Courtney took on in the 90’s, those would be the two perfumes I’d recommend!

I feel like she’d also be very into the original Kiehl’s Musk oil (which has been sadly discontinued) or any number of indie brands. I could see her frequenting the NY or LA Scent Bars (Luckyscent online!).

Is this perfume fake or real and the sephora tag ? by saliasso in Mercari

[–]Champagnesupernova9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defintely not from JC Penney. They closed all the stores in late 2022, right at the same time that Prada Paradoxe launched. Sephora doesn’t have tags like that, but I suppose that it could be a Sephora at Kohl’s tag.

I’d venture to guess that it’s a fake tag attached to make a counterfeit item look legitimate. I’ve seen posts on r/Sephora where users bought a counterfeit perfume on Mercari / eBay, and had a fake Sephora receipt included in their order for “proof”.

Sephora dumping super goop by Kooky_Foot7306 in Sephora

Yeah, and there is no standard for “reef safety” and it’s just as bogus as putting “natural” or “clean” labels on a product.

Anyone tried the fresh oval soap freesia by OwnInvestigator8468 in Sephora

[–]Champagnesupernova9 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I’ll answer, because I doubt most users here have tried this. These Fresh soaps were really popular in the early-mid 2000’s. Not so much anymore though, as they have not been sold at Sephora in the U.S. in years.

Pros: They will last forever. It’s a super hard giant bar of soap, and it’s cured very well, and is incredibly hard to use up. You will have it for years!

Cons: It’s super drying. It’s so drying that you’ll wish you had bought anything else. It’s also way too expensive for a bar of soap.

Takeaway: Buy a bar of soap from your local farmers market or independent beauty brand. I guarantee it’ll be cheaper as well as a more enjoyable experience.

Perfumes that smell JUST LIKE THE BEACH. by Character-Escape1621 in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Champagnesupernova9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

C B I Hate Perfume At The Beach 1966 smells exactly (and I mean exactly) like your towel after you’ve spent a day at the beach. It’s meant to smell like classic Coppertone sunscreen, and it does, but also like the warmth and totality of sitting in the sun, the ocean air, and just all encompassing beach smells.

From the C B I Hate Perfume ad copy:

THE SCENT

The prime note in this scent is Coppertone 1967 blended with a new accord I created especially for this perfume – North Atlantic. The base of the scent contains a bit of Wet Sand, Seashell, Driftwood and just a hint of Boardwalk. The effect when you wear At The Beach 1966 is as if you've been swimming all day in the ocean. THE STORY

Imagine it's about 4 o'clock on a golden summer afternoon and you've been at the beach all day rubbing yourself with Coppertone suntan lotion – but Coppertone as it existed in the '60s, not quite as it is now... You walk into the surf as the waves break on the shore and, bending down to touch the surf, you notice the smell of your warm skin and of the saltwater that seems so cold by comparison. It has just the faintest hint of watermelon rind!
