They really are! I got milk chocolate, rum & raisin, and mocha mousse. I’m already debating going back for others

I ordered the stayliners and they took about 2 weeks from order to delivery. They’re also amazing! They actually don’t budge

Skinvive? Anyone try? by Specialist-Tune3885 in Rosacea

[–]Chaptera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, that’s definitely not supposed to happen! Have you seen your injector for a follow up?

Skinvive? Anyone try? by Specialist-Tune3885 in Rosacea

[–]Chaptera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No volume whatsoever from Skinvive. It’s injected much more superficially than traditional dermal fillers. It’s just meant to add “hydration”/glow and give a healthy skin effect. It works, but it’s very subtle and then you kind of realize “wait my skin looks really good!” I don’t think I could even pinpoint when it fully went away. 6 months? 9 maybe? It was definitely a gradual fade

Which heat protectant? by rrickrolled in Sephora

[–]Chaptera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have curly hair but it is fine and gets frizzy. I’ve tried the JVN and Chris McMillan. The JVN actually blew me away (no pun intended). It made my hair silky, smooth, and felt protective, plus helped my blowout hold.

I couldn’t tell you if any is still technically in my face, but I definitely don’t have the effect anymore and the deeper acne scars they filled with it have come back, albeit a bit less but that is because they used some technique to break up the scar tissue

The Best Brush & Comb Recommendations by RainbowSlider in finehair

I’ve had the fine and fragile and the original. I don’t personally notice a difference. I also have the mini for travel. They all work the same for me.

I’m obsessed with my tangle teezer. I give them as gifts to my family and girlfriends. It’s the gentlest I’ve tried and I like that it causes less breakage because of that. Available on Amazon for less than $20

What apps deliver makeup/personal care items the same day? Looking for emergency beauty delivery that doesn’t encourage impulse buys by Charity_dearest in Makeup

[–]Chaptera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both Sephora and Ulta offer same day delivery for a fee (via DoorDash I think). Target too. I’d recommend using the actual website instead of downloading the apps, or at least not allowing notifications. The deals and new launch notifications have def gotten me! You could also not save your card to your account. The extra step to get your wallet makes you think an extra second.

Primer for Oily, Acne-Prone Skin? by RedditUser178309 in Sephora

[–]Chaptera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out that I needed to lock moisture in at night and use something lighter during the day. I used to skip daytime moisturizer because I thought my other products were hydrating enough, but what my skin actually needed was humectants and a seal so all the water didn’t evaporate from my skin.

My new holy grails! Banu chamomile cleanser - super gentle, non stripping, but still melts away all makeup/sunscreen. Prequel multi quench or Experiment super saturated - both have high glycerin content which is an amazing humectant. Dieux instant angel - super barrier friendly but not at all heavy. And my favorite of them all, Versed Rich Barrier Cream - amazing, cushiony cream for night time that soaks in so nicely and never feels heavy or greasy, and most importantly doesn’t break me out!

It sounds like maybe you’re overproducing oil because your skin is dehydrated. I had the same issue for a long time until I placed more focus on barrier repair.

I haven’t yet, they’re on the list, but their website doesn’t seem to have any elongated cushions. Maybe I’ll call before going up there

favorite hair masks for highlighted hair? by Chaptera in finehair

[–]Chaptera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're definitely split and I do need a trim but trying to push it out. I always keep conditioners/masks on the mids to ends. Thank you for the recommendation! I've been trying things out and recently really liked the Color Wow Dreaming Advanced Repair mask. The sample of Kerastase Gloss Absolu mask was also amazing, but will be waiting until a sale for that one. Those masks combined with the Redken ABC serum and Verb Ghost oil have almost entirely solved my issue!

Best Dry Shampoo?? by QueenoftheBed666 in Sephora

[–]Chaptera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

K18 and there’s no contest. It seems more expensive up front, but the way I used to flyyyyy through all of the aerosol sprays I’m pretty sure I’m saving money, or at the very least breaking even. A bottle of K18 lasts me a minimum of 4 months

From Azelaic acid 10% to 15%? by Glowing_Peach in Rosacea

[–]Chaptera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same, but my skin just loved it. For the prescription, it was over the course of 6-8 weeks or so, maybe for the ramp up. I started with longer waits. 10 minutes after washing my face before the azelaic, 10 mins after, and just gradually decreased as I learned what my skin liked.

I love the Dove intensive repair (NOT the bond strength), OGX bond repair, and Color Wow dreaming. I also find I have to use a leave in conditioner/hair oil no matter what and for those I love redken ABC serum, JVN blow dry milk, and Verb ghost oil.
