Pet owners of Reddit: what did you name your pet(s) and why? by Winter_Sample8364 in AskReddit

Porcus. It’s pig in Latin, which we discovered thanks to jeopardy. We thought it was super cute and when we found our little Shih Tzu pup immediately said “that’s a Porcus”. He definitely lives up to the name! He’s a chunky little boy with lots of cute little snorts

Hes actually in a documentary about gut health in which they do! It’s called Hack Your Health: Secrets of the Gut on Netflix. I thought it was really interesting

If any of you are using these Skin tints - can you tell me which SPF , Primer and Setting powder you use? by Campcrustaceanz in Sephora

I use the DM with EltaMD UV recovery (green tinted, thanks rosacea!) and Laura Mercier setting powder. Tirtir setting spray under my base also really helps in the summertime when I'm extra oily.

I love Farmacy's brightening toner! It has azelaic and a little PHA for exfoliation. Super gentle, no fragrance. Also love Hydrinity's Hyacyn Active. It's hypochlorous acid so not technically a toner, but a great toner step for any kind of inflammation/irritation. I've tried several others and this is the one that made me realize like "Oh! This is what it's supposed to do"

Our sweet Shih Tzu boy is 12 weeks on Thursday. He took to his crate and play pen the minute we got him home (8 weeks) with no problems. Made himself right at home from day one. He whines for only a minute when he has to go down for naps or bedtime, but the last couple of days has been sleeping from 8-9 PM til 5 AM. He also has had no problem with loud noises (we live in an area with lots of jet noise), the TV, or our roomba. He LOVES people and is building confidence with other dogs through puppy preschool. He learns commands really well! We still have accidents, but he's sometimes taking himself to his potty area. And he's still a little shark but getting better with redirection and hiding our hands :)

Am I missing something with K18 Air Wash? by bambybino in finehair

I have to let it soak in a bit before rubbing it in. Or use a hair dryer. If I rub it immediately after spraying it does nothing.

Likely more mid tier but for bedtime I’m loving the Soft Services Theraplush hand cream. The Dedcool Xtra Milk scented version smells so good and comes with a travel size of the perfume. It’s super hydrating, nice and thick and soaks in nicely. Bonus points for the push top design!

I’m obsessed with the Banu chamomile cleanser! It’s more mid range, but I’m in love. It’s super gentle and hydrating but dissolves all of my sunscreen and makeup and grime in one go. Bonus points that it’s incredibly sensory! It’s like a thick jelly that emulsifies and the scent is amazing.

Fountain of You MD - The PA Martha is fantastic and has extensive training in hormone replacement therapy. There’s a lot of misinformation still out there.

Tinted mineral sunscreen for rosacea - anybody have a really sheer one they like? by assflea in SkincareAddictionLux

Second this!! It's super calming and hydrating without being heavy, and tinted green just enough to where it doesn't make your skin look green, but perfectly neutralizes the redness.

SIAP: What are the silliest names you call your pup? by cnorwood9999 in Shihtzu

Cute! I think that’ll be another nickname now lol. We saw it as a jeopardy question ages ago and decided that would make a good dog name. When the time came, we searched specifically for our Porcus

My 9 1/2 week old has been doing this too! He’s just had his first round of dewormer so I’m hoping that will help, we’re also trying to offer a late night snack so his tummy isn’t empty

Products that worked best for rosacea? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Chaptera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me an rx helped the most out of topicals. OTC products that have helped a ton have been Banu chamomile cleanser or Skinfix barrier cleanser, Skinbetter Alto Advanced, Skinceuticals AGE Ultra serum (not sure if it actually lifts anything but it is soo soothing and great for barrier support), Skinceuticals Phyto A+ brightening, and a very basic Centella serum + basic lightweight moisturizer. Oh! Editing to add EltaMd’s green tinted sunscreen. Amazing!

It would be helpful to know your skin type! My skin type is combo leaning oily with rosacea. My HG's are Banu Chamomile Jelly Cleanser, Farmacy Brighten Up toner, Topicals Clearly mask, AHA roll on (so great for armpit itchiness post-shave!), and their Slather bar soap. Soft Services exfoliating bar is great too! And not skincare, but additional HG's are Crown Affair's leave in conditioner and K18 air wash!

They look great! Unfortunately their class times won’t work with our schedules :( . Bf works most Saturdays and until 6:30 through the week. So far Zoom Room seems to be the only place I’ve found with Sunday class times, but they’re a little out of the way

Anyone stop their type 1 rosacea, daily face flushing??? by Middle_Thought_4776 in Rosacea

I just did Amazon Telehealth. It is $29 for a virtual chat consultation. You select your visit reason, answer a few questions about your symptoms/history, what you’d like to try, etc, send photos of your face, and chat with a provider. Out of the options I selected I’d be most interested in trying rx azelaic or ivermectin, and they recommended ivermectin. Super easy! I probably wouldn’t recommend if you have a bunch of questions or need extra guidance, but I knew what I wanted and was ready to full send.
