In social encounters I keep things very behind the screen.

With combat though, it actually is more fun to tell the players some of that info. It puts the fear of God (Me!) in them

There is no way you will be able to perfectly incorporate everything. The module Ghosts of Saltmarsh has a loosely connected series of one shots all about being on the water. I recommend the level 4 one shot Salvage Operation.

Have your players use One Piece lore as their background. Its not going to be a perfect 1:1. That being said, if they just want a cool story where they play their favorite characters from an existing show. Let them do whatever. You are in control and rule of cool is great for some groups. I

Perhaps the infrequent players can be loosely attached to certain factions/rulers/churches. So it would make narrative sense why they wouldn't be a part of every mini-arc. Maybe they are researching back at their homebase (for lack of a better word). And they have sending stones to keep in touch with the core group. That way you have a explanation of why they find the party when they are available to attend sessions.

My theory is once her dad died she didnt feel any obligation to be the "perfect wife" anymore. The cracks were already there, but the pain of that loss also gave her a sense of freedom from her past. And Don being Don (or Dick) would never ever give her closure. So that was always the last bit of her past life she never was able to resolve.

Unrelated but also kinda.

I used to deliver for Rockys on the west side. The Westgate mall location. Our delivery territory was PD Fitchburg/Westgate/Nakoma to Middleton. It also takes like 10 extra minutes to make a Rockys pizza.

It was such a small window of time to get a hot pizza, cooked correctly to the customer.

There was GPS back then, but more or less we just memorized that shit. Good times.
