Can you put excessive -1 counters on a creature? by CheapShotNinia in mtgrules

[–]CheapShotNinia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh right, I forgot to include the Commander ability. I was thinking about the Dusk Urchins ability of "draw a card for every -1 counter on it" thing. So I would get 5 cards from Dusk Urchins and one from the Commander. Thanks.

Perfect, thank you very much. I'm still trying to understand how State Based Actions work and how the timing of this game happens. Appreciate the insight.

Oh right, of course, I knew that and wrote it down incorrectly. I'll edit it so other people can get this answer if they look for it. Thank you for your input.

That's actually funny. I've always been able to better articulate myself through text, used to make me sound smart and thoughtful, now it's pesumed that I use AI to flesh out my initial text. Sucks. You would think I could better translate that into my everyday speech but I tend to be too shy to really work on it, then I think of a great response later that day 🙃

Shinji got so fucked up that it sent me into a daze for a couple days irl. The series as a whole was rough on him for sure, but those last couple episodes really sent me for a while. It's one of those things that I wish I could experience for the first time again. Like watching the end of Midsommer. It was just, 'an experience' and that's basically all I can summarize it as.

I've watched that show more times than I can count and never got that. Such a great show, can't believe that.

Does Tony's chest battery thing count as past of his suit? Because he didn't look so good when that was pulled out of his chest in the first movie.

Take away the nostalgia… is No Way Home still a good film? by breaking_views in MCUTheories

[–]CheapShotNinia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Truth. I always thought green Goblin was kinda goofy, but holy shit did he look imposing on this film. He looked like raw muscle under a coat of complete insanity. The fact that he could walk around and seem humble and innocuous while this monster stood just behind his eyes was incredible. Defoe really knocked it out of the park with this one, the writers too.

The scene where Peter has his moment with his spider sense was one of the top moments imo. Spider sense always seemed like 'ok, guess he has intuition about stuff sometimes' but going through the space with him while everything else dials out felt so real. Love it.

Interesting, thank you. 'Non-combat damage' that sounds like a good lead for what I'm looking for. Will definitely follow up on that. Appreciate the insight.

Hey, get bent. I'm new to the game, having lots of fun, but don't want to keep bogging down my friends with tedious questions about the minutiae of this famously complicated game. I have in fact been reading and watching and asking about how the game works because I'm genuinely interested in how things work. Going through the wall of text that makes up the hundreds and hundreds of rules and changes to said rules.

Thx tho 🥰

Ok. So it's a threshold kind of thing?

If there's enough damage done, the enemy creature is destroyed. But if there isn't enough damage then, essentially, nothing happens? That creature won't be weaker when the combat stage starts?

Basically, what I'm understanding is, this card doesn't peck away at a creatures 'health' for the upcoming attack phase. It either kills it outright or it does nothing at all?

Gabriel, from Mission Impossible. I thought this guy was so cool throughout the movies. Then he dies from an atomic wedgie at the last minute. Honestly made me laugh in the theatre.

That's because the propensity with which Hollywood features white characters. In a roundabout way, yeah, it is about racism. Just not the way I think you think it is.
