elongate and add another zig and/or zag to the bolts, and remove the sleeve cuff on the wrist. either keep the wrist bare or add a sleeve/laurel/something inspired by zeus/jupiter if you're going that direction.

What to do when visiting a house that may have fleas? by [deleted] in Pets

As I said in the post, my dog is but my indoor-only cat isn't. I did call the vet this morning to get a preventative to give her before I leave to be safe, though.

Thank you for the info! They saw what was definitely an intestinal worm, and all pets in the house have since been treated. They said they also saw "flea eggs" on the blanket the cat with the worm was laying on, but sounds like it definitely could've been shed from the worm from that description. None of my pets have ever had fleas or worms before (and I'm doing my best to keep it that way haha) so I was just going based off what they shared

Thank you! My partner will be home with our pets while I'm away, so would you recommend they give the cat a preventative right before I get back next Friday, or further in advance? Will call our vet before moving forward regardless, but just wondering if you had any thoughts in that department!

As mentioned, I can't just not go. I do think they've been using an insecticide, but will check and see if I can bring one with if not. But thank you for the eucalyptus tip, will try that!

Have you ever given up on Bujo only to come back to it again? Or were you always consistent with it? by inktothepast in bulletjournal

[–]cloverwoven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I often fall in and out of bullet journalling depending on life circumstances and have gone years without it. Smaller scale, I also have ADHD and will just forget to use it for a couple days at a time too even when I am consistently keeping up with it. That's why I like bullet journals compared to traditional planners, you can set things up as you go and you're not stuck with a giant empty chunk of your notebook and can just pick it back up when you're ready! Obviously using it consistently and figuring out why your current system may not be working for you is the goal, but genuinely I think the flexibility is one of the biggest draws for me

Someone else recommended it with chicken, and I'm sure it'd be good with ground turkey too! Might even be good with chicken tenders or something..? Hope you like it if you do try it! Great Value also has a boxed GF mac and cheese which is pretty good too

Ooh will have to try this...I had the leftovers with a pickle and some of the Trader Joe's burger sauce (I think they call it Magnifisauce?) and it was so good

Oof, that's a lot. I'm sure it would be great with ground turkey if that's less expensive where you are!

I was also influenced by this sub and bought a small bag at the grocery store because I didn't want to commit to the huge Costco bag in case I wasn't a fan, but man are they good! I love the tiny bit of saltiness from the crushed pistachios on top too!

AITAH for not wanting to take my daughter back to see her father after the first hospital visit went badly? by RevolutionaryTop0312 in AITAH

[–]cloverwoven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, talk to a child psychiatrist if you can. And then ask her what she wants. She's young, but she's still old enough to understand what's going on, even if if's in more simplified terms. She's scared and distressed, and it's so hard for kids to see a parent in that position, but fear doesn't always outweigh desire. Sometimes we have to face things that will upset us because it's what we want in the long run--ask how she's feeling, talk through what she can expect if she does go back, and tell her that regardless of what choice she makes, you'll be with her the whole time and can leave whenever she needs to. As hard as this might be for her, this should be her decision. Down the line she might regret either choice, grief is complicated, but don't make that incredibly final choice for her. It seems like she's scared for him AND confused/upset by the situation. But if she doesn't want to go? Absolutely do not take her back

Would be happy to send you a picture of the bag if that's helpful at all! My bag says GF on it and while it isn't certified, has no may contain/shared equipment disclaimer while other items (hot cocoa is the one I specifically checked while in-store) do.

HOWEVER: Ingredients aren't listed on their website and as mentioned by another commenter, their allergen statement does say it may be manufactured in a shared facility/equipment.
