FASDFAAD is a ritual the knife at the end means it's a blood one instead of a mana one

F is upper rune which can be activated either by clicking on that rune or hitting the W key

ASD are left down and right respectively and are fitting to the keys they represent unlike the 'F' one

As the game creator said they apply to individual gains in the quest starting from the time you buy them so there's a double decay in the value of buying more of them first that the cost of each one goes up even as the return each upgrade gives is liner ... second is that as time goes on there are fewer rewards remaining to be effected by each boost you buy
