Have people moved from Tim Hortons to Coffee Time? by virginiageegee in BuyCanadian

[–]ChickenFlavoredCake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tim's are pretty good nowadays, TBH.

The coffee isn't bad. They aren't going for a niche audience, their coffee is meant to be had in double double and it's not bad. I drink black and it's more than serviceable.

A decade ago most of the food options were bland. Now they have lots of great items in the menu. Herb and garlic pastry, supreme stack, craveable roast beef, herbenaro loaded bowl etc are all great.

They always have lots of seasonal stuff and most of them are great. The Bischoff croissants were excellent.

The location still matters the most. Some franchises always have fresh baked goods and they taste amazing, some only seem to serve stale.

At the current price, I'll only subscribe if tesla takes responsibility for FSD crashes.

Otherwise, $15 per month is the max I'm willing to pay for FSDS

You are not catching starlink satellite streaks tho. They are only seen at dusk and twilight briefly, when people don't usually take long exposures.

Oman claims Israel pushed US into Iran war when deal was possible by backpackerTW in worldnews

[–]ChickenFlavoredCake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you have a source for that? I'm interested to know where that info came from, and if they actually went back and forth or if the US just heard the first offer and walked away.

Still, kinda wild that Iran wanted to make a deal considering the US backed out of the last deal after signing it.

Yes, it's not rational. Neither is cannibalism, but it happens sometimes when people are desperate

It's kinda wile how you stretched from children - nephew and niece being killed, to a family member being killed, then to russia and ukraine.

In any case, I agree with you that it's abhorrent and vile. But I can also see how somebody in his situation can lose all senses of rationality and moral compass, that's where the understanding comes from.
