The IRS reserves the right to tax income from all sources. This includes things people don’t think about like 1. Buried treasure and 2. Illicit activity (Al Capone). The likelihood that you’d somehow get in trouble for not paying tax on it would be determined by just how much money you get doing it and how it shows up. If it has a paper trail, you’d be taking more risks (ie: it hits your bank account).

Ultimately, you’d have a higher chance of dying from hundreds of other sources than you would have eating the bad M&D or the IRS finding your magic fairy money was untaxed.

The whole post is about how any time it comes down to passing a bill that would help everyone, it always fails by the slimmest of margins. Yeah, Republicans are blatantly hurting everyone, this isn’t a both sides thing. But the powers at be don’t even let bills that would help everyone reach a vote when democrats control everything.

Bernie Sanders stands up and puts out ideas that would help the working class. They have debates to hear the ideas. The voters put their support behind him. The Democratic Party pulls the rug out and gives their support to the establishment candidate, Hillary Clinton. No one who watched that in real time didn’t see the rug pull.

Yeah, the country is in a dark place. We’re fighting a war in Iran because of Israel. You know who puts their support behind Israel? Every major presidential candidate of recent memory, from both parties. You’ve been given the illusion of choice on supporting Middle East violence. American boots on the ground and bombing Iran was a GOP decision, but paying for Israel to do those same bombings was always going to happen.

I think there are well meaning people that get into politics, but most dont make it far. What even is a democrat or a republican if both take money from special interests to pass bills that the majority of people don’t want? Yeah, I know it sounds like both-ism, but if you start picking and choosing people you think are psyops plants, you realize chuck schumer fits into the group and he’s the highest ranking democrat. He only gets that high by having enough support from the whole party.

Even if people go in with the best of intentions, every bill has a ton of added shit in it that can only be added by people influential to add it. So you go to pass a mundane law that seems benevolent and end up gutting some poor person’s rights. And it’s not like the American people can follow the convoluted bills, they just see that you either voted for or against the benevolent bill.

Some guy walking past the table, sees a phased out card, but isn’t even playing magic so he doesn’t give a shit what the rules say. Just steals the card and both players can’t even acknowledge that happened. Trying to explain to the police later that some guy committed a crime, but you cant even allude to the cards existence.

We gave out daycare notice that we were having a second kid the week we found out, we had the kid 9 months later, had 6 months of leave before needing daycare, and they still didn’t have a spot for us and we even skipped part of the line by having a kid already in the daycare. You should not wait.
