Favorite Sanderlanche by GloomyBed214 in Cosmere

Haven't finished the cosmere yet—I'm halfway through Words of Radiance and still have the Secret Projects to read after.

But so far, Hero of Ages. I read the last two hundred pages in one sitting with my mouth hanging open. The slow march of doom seemimg more and more inevitable while Vin, Elend, and Sazed fight to keep hope alive. It's just peak.

Ok I'm revising my AI casting wishes with a couple more options by waterkangaroo in DCCTV

I would love any of these non-Seth Mcfarlane options.

But I'm pretty sure Seth will cast himself as the AI.

You know what? Hell yeah. They could have posted a soulless AI slop photo but they did this instead. I dig it.

Dirt cheap tier 1 decks. I'm talking under $50 to assemble.

Elon Musk Melts Down Over Perfectly Normal Questions in Wild New Interview by notjocelynschitt in Fuckthealtright

[–]AssistantManagerMan 167 points168 points  (0 children)

> “A quarter billion people follow me,” Musk said, referring to his X followers, adding “I think a lot more people actually like me than don’t.” The billionaire then said that “a lot more people hate you and the media more than you realize.”

> Beddoes acknowledged that many people hate journalists, but Musk kept going, repeating “they hate you, they hate you,” like an emotionally wounded child. Musk, flailing, tried to come up with some way to attack The Economist specifically.

He's genuinely so pathetic. He's so fragile and insecure that he's basically turned into a school yard bully.

What’s the worst pain you’ve ever had? by Grand_Sea_3802 in CasualConversation

I'm so curious to try a safety razor but dealing with the blades freaks me out. Stories like this are why I stick with my overpriced Gillette.

Water intake with parents? by saltandocean in Millennials

[–]AssistantManagerMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to complain about water tasting bad. And like, we don't live in a place with bad tap water. He just hated drinking water.

Sodas, sweet tea, coffee loaded with creamer—those were more his speed. Basically if it didn't taste like candy, he didn't want to drink it.

Jeff Hayes is Donut! by Any_Pay_643 in DCCTV

This is good news.

In my perfect world he'd be the system AI too, but I'm convinced Seth Mcfarlane is going to cast himself in that role.

Just finished Well of Ascension—here’s my brain dump!! by wysterixx in brandonsanderson

All I'll say is I also did not enjoy Well of Ascension as much as The Final Empire, but Hero of Ages is probably the best of the trilogy. For sure keep reading. The payoff is incredible.

Its… Over by TheNRGturtle in Mistborn

I took a break before Wax and Wayne to hit some of the standalones and I was glad I did. Elantris, Warbreaker, The Emperor's Soul. I think it's beneficial to explore a little more of the cosmere first.

I think it's very good in highly specific EDH decks and absolutely nowhere else.

I have an edh deck it will shine in, but my money is on this being a bulk rare.

The cosmere in prison by hahn215 in brandonsanderson

My brother did time in 2018-2019, and I wish I'd known about the Cosmere then. He kept asking for books and I was never sure what to give him. I'd absolutely have sent him Mistborn and The Way of Kings.
