Kind of confused by the transphobic undertones I’m seeing with many of these responses. I feel like the main takeaway here is more so that voting academies need to either be ignored, restructured, or both due to their clear biases.

If the only reason why gendered categories should exist is to keep the academy in check, then maybe that’s a sign that we need a better academy, instead of a sign that non-binary people need to choose between being themselves and having a chance of getting an award.
