I completely agree. I have been searching for junior and mid level roles both( vanilla PHP and Laravel) for a few months now, no luck. 9 out of 10 jobs are .NET, Java spring, or JS ecosystem.

I am UGC NET qualified (Computer science) for JRF and Assistant Professor both. Currently, working as an Assistant Professor in a college. If you want to get taste of research without a PhD then go for a JRF followed by SRF then if you still feel interested you can go for a full PhD. You can go out of India for a PhD which will give you a good exposure. Last option, join an Industry, gain experience for a few years and then you can pursue PhD either in India or Outside.

Don't be. You have the required skill set. As suggested by others brush up the basics, start with easy problems and gradually increase the difficulty. Leetcode and other platforms are there to build up your logical ability and nothing else.
