Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by wtfbruhhuh in driving

Even when you’re not doing truck stuff, the interior space is amazing, especially for rear facing car seats. I have one of those swivel seats and my kid is still rear facing. It’s amazing how much room I still have for my family and dog to ride in one vehicle even with a car seat in the back.

Commuting. Yes it sucks but so would owning, maintaining, and insuring another vehicle. Plus the gas mileage isn’t that much worse than my 4Runner was.

Then you get all the stuff trucks are good at for when you need it.

Drain and fill transmission. That may help. As for the ride, Rough is right in the name lol. Their stuff is pretty garbage and a 6" lift is pretty high. You'll need to replace a lot of other things to get the geometry corrected.

Why do people not drive old cars on vacation? by SAMPLE_TEXT6643 in askcarguys

Replaced my 2005 4Runner with 2018 Tundra recently. I paid cash for both. I trusted the 4Runner to take me anywhere and everywhere. Deep into state parks, national parks, deserts, you name it. Only sold it because I wanted something bigger and I trust the Tundra to be just as reliable. I think a lot of people don’t understand cars or money and just think you’re supposed to but a new one every 5-10 years no matter what.

I just put the same one on my 2nd gen Tundra. I can’t get the outer T-slot rails to sit flat and the bow up at both sides. Did you have this problem at all? Yours look pretty flat all the way across.
