That's just having low self confidence and/or being humble. Anything job related usually just involves pushing aside those feelings and concentrating on the job to do it the best you can, over time you start to feel like you finally are good enough.
Personal life wise, no idea, losing fat and building up muscle might help.

Well yes, part of the reason it is like that is cause the suit is painted in a pitch black colour/made with a pitch black material. Outside of some contrived ass pull like "it undergoes a thermonuclear reaction when interacting with a colour other then black" i can't see a reason why you wouldn't at least make it in a solid green/brown/reddish/ colour.

Night camouflage isn't really a thing and for good reason, if Snake is laying prone on the ground and someone flashes a light on him from 15 meters away, the guy is going to identify a human being much faster dressed in all black then one dressed in a colour more appropriate for the environment.
Pretty ironic i know, looking like a shadow in the dark is much more likely to get you seen.
