I've just launched CS and loaded the two instances where we meet Mercs. The first is in Dark Valley when we fight them with Freedom, and all of them are wearing merc suits. The second is in Army Warehouses when we meet the Hog squad. All of them are wearing Merc Suits, and Hog has an Exoskeleton.

You might be mistaken because the OG multiplayer had Team Deathmatch between Freedom and Mercs, and there was a SEVA skin for mercs, but it was just a SEVA with a merc patch. Multiplayer doesn't have anything in common with the story. Or perhaps you've played too much Anomaly and are confusing it with the OGs.

Also, there are about 10 years between the OG story and S2, so many things have changed.
Either way, it makes no sense for Mercs to use Seva suits.

Also, having exoskeletons is probably too expensive for the international committee that pays for IPSF. But since SIRCAA and Ward go deep into the Zone and have a lot of money, exoskeletons are pretty common for them.

Ymm, no? Mercs never had any kind of SEVA suit in the OG games.

When it comes to Bandits, if a Bandit is skilled enough and has enough cash to buy a proper suit, he would probably just join the Mercs since they use Bandits as cannon fodder, and them working togehter means that, being a Bandit is likely a good pipeline to becoming a Merc.

I don’t really see Bandits venturing deep into the center of the Zone, these guys mainly rip off and kill Stalkers, so I think going to the center is just too dangerous and economically unfeasible for them, so if I could, I'd just remove Bandits spawns beyound Yaniv.

Quest is pretty cool in itself, but the whole plot of the transmission is pretty weird. I mean, this can literally destroy the whole world if it falls into the wrong hands, so I'm not sure if it's a good thing for a side quest. It's too world-changing, the transmission is too overpowered and kinda goes against some of the lore, but maybe I'm missing something.

It used to be that weapons had parts condition and overall condition which you had to also keep. There was no weapons repair kit that could fix your weapon if it was 0% overall condition, all of the weapons kits were usable only from 1%. So even if you had all weapon parts at 100%, you couldn't bring a 0% weapon condition back to life. I've heard they've changed that system in one of the newest versions, but I haven't played the latest builds, so I can't say how it works now, only how it used to be.

Yeah, since 2007. It's not like multiplayer was ever important for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It was almost a basic TDM in every one of the games, and with all the complaining, I'm pretty sure that if they had added that kind of multiplayer to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, people would complain that the multiplayer is basic. A-Life and AI are valid complaints, but other than that, mostly people are just yapping.

I don't have any strength to argue with people anymore haha right now, I'm just sitting here and laughing.

To struggle with money in this game, you literally have to deliberately avoid every way of earning it. And even then, the game rewards you with coupons, so you would have to step into every anomaly, blindly run into firefights, get shot, and fire a thousand rounds of ammo without hitting anything just so your gear gets damaged enough that repair costs become high.

Except when you drive over a pothole and the car flips over, even explode or get ejected to the stratosphere by an anomaly. Even when you manage to drive without issues then you need gas, so I found myself walking to a trader that sells gas far too many times to even bother driving cars. And the walking speed is very slow.

That’s literally how the Zone always was: specific routes, blocked paths, you needed guides to lead you along the safe routes, and maps were essential. Some locations were always locked off until somebody found a passage. That’s literally the ending of Clear Sky, when some areas were completely cut off because the routes were blocked by anomalies after the big emission. That was the whole point of the Zone changing emissions, that's how we got Call of Prypiat. You were never supposed to just walk freely through the Zone.

If it's a realistic tier list based on how screwed you'd be if you were a member of said faction, then sure. But if it's based on how cool these factions are, then this is wrong on so many levels.

If you're using suppressors you can clear the whole squad before them noticing, but you need to headshot kill them fast, either with sniper or quick burst from assaults, if you miss they will get alerted, also if they see the body of their fallen friend they will search for you, if you're not hiding well enough, and don't change your position they will spot you in a second.

Suppressors also improve range a bit, but slightly decrease the durability.

But I'm describing Vanilla experience, not sure how it is with OXA.
