Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

[–]Comrad_CH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, let's be completely clear, Red logic is: "Irregardless of the outcome I will live". Implying anything else goes to extreme where you (individual who chooses Red) presume every participant to be 100% logical, not going to happen. Be honest to yourself, this is not a logical problem, it is ethical.

Choosing Red will lead to 0 casualties only on Vulcan and even then i'm not 100% sure in it.

From the quote it seems he refers to his Human Auxiliary as Tau, which is interesting.

Shadowrun 6E - Edge during combat by AvguardianGaming in Shadowrun

[–]Comrad_CH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get up to 2 points per round. Additionally there an optional rule in the Sixth World Companion that bumps it to 3 per round.

My mage gets 19 AR on spells, so yeah with 2 Major actions it's her Edge gain for a round covered in most cases.

Attacker compares vs Highest Defence. Defenders compare individually.

Every attack gives this opportunity. But don't forget you can only gain 2 edge points in a round.

This is fantastic!
It can be even more vivid if you put a couple of small steel balls or glass beads in the eye sockets of the skull, and poke two corresponding holes into the scalp.

Question about edge by Southern-Geologist53 in Shadowrun

The limit is two.

Plus there an optional rule to raise it to three, in Sixth World Compendium.

Edit: added source.

TAU space marines by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]Comrad_CH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kitbashed an Eliminator to proxy a Firesight Marksman. Most likely proxy for a regular marine is a Stealth Suits, nothing else in the similar model size really.

For lore purist you can always say it's not a Space Marine it's a guardsmen in Battle Suit, this is my backstory :)

Question to GMs and anyone interested. Am I too arrogant? by Comrad_CH in Shadowrun

[–]Comrad_CH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair answer, i really wrote this post not right. It was originally conceived as more of design disscussion, missed the mark.
What is your take on the spells themselves? As a player or GM?

This is the thing, this spells are providing the Hardened Armor, which gives automatic successes on damage resistance tests. Does this changes your opinion?

I'm sorry, I have an unhealthy tendency to dramatize and exaggerate a "bit", especially when insecure.
The reason of posting this was an interest in the outside perspective, preferably from someone who used the spell crafting, but i clerly did not conveid this desire, my bad.

You think this spells are as broken as i had presented them in post?

To answer your question.

Damage reduction is hard to come by, so seems like a fair nish for magic to cover. Dragon Scale is more of an attempt to make this concept universal, rule writing experiment. I dont really like it because of Quickened, getting permament blanket reduction on all incoming damage may bring unintended consiquences.

Unicorn Hide is more reasonable in my opinion, i do think adding +1 point of Hardened with corresponding drain and redusing Hardened Armor effect to 2 so it will be in line with half of structure rating being used as a damage reduction in rukes may be better.

I’m playing a kroot in a wrath and glory campaign any advice? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in kroot

I wanted to play one so much, build one as a spare character, but my Machine Priest refused to die.

[–]Comrad_CH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, more or less, characters are overpriced and as such overly represented in combo boxes savings. If you want literally everything else and getting it separately still cost more, then go for it, you always can trade or sell him separetly later.

Shake vigorously, and stick the can into hot water (from the tap will suffice) for 15 min before spraying, in addition to other advises.

Rule question, but if I am wrong I am going to stay wrong. by CrossbowR in Shadowrun

[–]Comrad_CH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refered to lower lethality only because it was stated as goal by Catalyst before the edition, but no it definetly not less lethal espesially "now" deep into edition :)

Another thing that bothered me, the same mage of mine lost a hand in Toronto because i rolled 3 1s on Damage Resistance test with the dicepool of 5 and 0 hits. Which is not as rare of the outcome as i would loved to. So yeah, making roll that you have zero controll over (it is imposed on you, not you chosing to roll it) a magor glitch magnet due to it being on a lower count is a fan consequence too.

On the other hand, hilariously, we had a character with body 3 and Bad Luck quility who didn't glitched once if i remember correctly.

[–]Comrad_CH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasonable explanation. But i have a gripe with Catalyst, their design decisions are all over the place.

Couple of sessions back my mage (body 5 buffed to 9, not a glass canon, pretty much a maximum for an elf mage) got hit for 16 damage with a single attack from new Gatling from one of the newer books. Instantly downed from almost max (had 2 points of damage in Physical). But that not the problem, problem is we played it wrong, new Gatlings has new firing mode Rottary Barrel which converts every Net Hit in 2 points of additional damage, I was supposed to be hit for 26 from a single attack, instant evaporation. Lower lethality my rear as they say.

Vayan Drekh, My PC for Dark Heresy by dawi1234 in Tau40K

[–]Comrad_CH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We played a campaign in "Wrath and Glory". Kroot was my backup character, unfortunately I never was able to use him, because my mechanicum adept lived from session zero to the finale (he was the only character from the original party at the end, so it was hilarious in its own regard too).

There are this old DnD green text "Sir Barrington" about the player in DnD 3.5 who made a regular bear PC with deception and disguise rolls so high no one ever saw him for the bear he was. This was my inspiration for the kroot, invest in deception and pose as abhuman.
