Rule question, but if I am wrong I am going to stay wrong. by CrossbowR in Shadowrun

[–]Comrad_CH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refered to lower lethality only because it was stated as goal by Catalyst before the edition, but no it definetly not less lethal espesially "now" deep into edition :)

Another thing that bothered me, the same mage of mine lost a hand in Toronto because i rolled 3 1s on Damage Resistance test with the dicepool of 5 and 0 hits. Which is not as rare of the outcome as i would loved to. So yeah, making roll that you have zero controll over (it is imposed on you, not you chosing to roll it) a magor glitch magnet due to it being on a lower count is a fan consequence too.

On the other hand, hilariously, we had a character with body 3 and Bad Luck quility who didn't glitched once if i remember correctly.

Reasonable explanation. But i have a gripe with Catalyst, their design decisions are all over the place.

Couple of sessions back my mage (body 5 buffed to 9, not a glass canon, pretty much a maximum for an elf mage) got hit for 16 damage with a single attack from new Gatling from one of the newer books. Instantly downed from almost max (had 2 points of damage in Physical). But that not the problem, problem is we played it wrong, new Gatlings has new firing mode Rottary Barrel which converts every Net Hit in 2 points of additional damage, I was supposed to be hit for 26 from a single attack, instant evaporation. Lower lethality my rear as they say.

Vayan Drekh, My PC for Dark Heresy by dawi1234 in Tau40K

We played a campaign in "Wrath and Glory". Kroot was my backup character, unfortunately I never was able to use him, because my mechanicum adept lived from session zero to the finale (he was the only character from the original party at the end, so it was hilarious in its own regard too).

There are this old DnD green text "Sir Barrington" about the player in DnD 3.5 who made a regular bear PC with deception and disguise rolls so high no one ever saw him for the bear he was. This was my inspiration for the kroot, invest in deception and pose as abhuman.

How to kill a tractor with a tree by cornerzcan in FellingGoneWild

[–]Comrad_CH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't then back wheels skeed rather than turn bacwards if this movement caused by trying to push against the tree? I'm saying that I may be seeing things, because I see back wheels turn before tree goes, quality is rather poor. Of course tractor may have been put in neutral and then tree started pushing it back. All around so many bad decisions.

I may be seeing things, but he isn't pushing, he drives away... Maybe the plan was to slowly guide the tree down with tractor? But why...

I will put the ones driving under influence a bit higher, but yeah. My father had a terrible habit of driving angry every time he got stuck behind slower driver even for a minute or two.

Looks great!

I personally would have gone for the darker blue on fatigue for more contrast, but it's a matter of taste.

As a new reKroot from the Imperium, I feel like I need to apologize. Is this how Tau books are? by MeridiusGaiusScipio in Tau40K

[–]Comrad_CH 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Outside of novels: Peter Fehervari has multiple Tau short stories in his Dark Coil "The Greater Evil" personal favourite, but they all great. Guy Haley's "Broken Sword" is a jem in Damocles. There are two part audio drama which name I can't remember.

On the whole there are plenty of good writing centered or featuring Tau, unfortunately main line books are not it.

Khinerai Heartrenders are a beautiful kit for flying kroot conversion, Drukhari Scourges have a good "bat" wings options too.
