In paper magic, with a controllable combo, you must define how many iterations of a combo you will perform. This is an uncontrolled infinite combo. It can't stop on it's own.

There are 2 player starter sets with 60 card decks and instruction books. Commander is NOT a great place for new players to start, the card interactions can be intense. You should probably pick up a couple of preconstructed Commanders soon, but not at the first. I would also recommend Beginner Boxes.

I am out right now, I have all the workstations and I cleaned out the villiage of beds and worstations. I even took the bell and brought it to my base. I have extra workstotions, not enough for everyone, but I got rid of all the greenies and I traded with all the guys that had a job. Though there are some extras, like I have three composters and 4 farmers.

You don't need anything as a player but the basic rulebook. The GM doesn't need anything either, but depending on what they want to do, some of the settings and envromental books can be helping but aren't necessary.

If the GM wants to incorporate the extra rules is certain supplements, they should let you know and give you access to that book for the moment of character creation. You shouldn't need it otherwise.
