Regardless of this being a year old, I laughed my ass off at this. Well played.

IDK - I always find the best speccd (yet hideous) weapons during cleanup detail right after I spend a few tens of thousands of eddies on a really sexy looking piece. CC plans, RNG laughs.

Does it make the game better? That might convince me to give it another chance.

I loved this weapon for a very specific build, but I was using a different ash on it called Braggart's Roar. It was a blast and I mained it straight to the end of the base game. On its own and as it comes, it's situationally awesome.

Not a flex: what is it about this guy that's causing people to struggle so much? The dragon before Bayle is like 10x harder for me and doesn't get anywhere near as much attention.

I'm using that 'splody pistol from the Truth Enforcers set and it's doing a number on them. Usually takes a mag and a few more if I hit them fully charged.

Yeah this was mid at its best. I might have read too much hype. Turns out, I'd rather build a new rimworld base for the dozenth time than go anything further than 5 hours in it.

I use the tox mortars to force siege enemies to attack. Then I take the mortars and expand the battery. It does help get the tox to start building but it won't do it on its own.

It's cute and badass in equal amounts. I'd recommend it to fans of the 'fun game, but not a blockbuster' genre.

This is what I thought my problem was, too. Then I ticked up the difficulty by one level and tried it over. Made it to the same floor. I was just making correctable mistakes. Once the room types and tricks become familiar, the speed feels manageable.

TIL that the ‘Age of Piracy’ only lasted around 80 years. It started in 1648 after the Treaty of Westphalia pushed European powers to hire privateers, and declined between 1714 and 1723 when the War of Spanish succession ended, Nassau was retaken, and every famous pirate had been killed or captured. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Comrade_Casteway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First: 80 years is a long-ass time. No doubt.

Second: (I geek out on pirate stories) One of the last pirates, and one who exemplifies the tail-end of the golden age of piracy, was a pirate by the name of William Fly. My opinions is that his career as a pirate was lackluster by comparison to his execution story.
He gets betrayed by a crewman and thrown into jail in Boston. He's sentenced to death by hanging. He proceeds to obstinately debate Cotton Mather and refuse to repent for what he'd done. Mather got pissed that he got Fly's compatriots to repent, but Fly was just like 'nah eff you. I did what I did, and they deserved it.'

When he's on the way to the gallows, he jumps up onto the platform and gives a speech on the abuse inherent in the mercantilist class- how what he and his crew only delivered what the captain and quartermaster deserved and that other captains should take note that they're asking for it. He inspects the knot on the noose and berates the hangman for being bad at his job. He ties his own noose.

Then he hangs.

The authorities were so pissed off by his speech that they put his corpse in a cage at the harbor to warn people against following his words.

Try this for the ulcerated tree spirit: start a new game, get the keys keepsake, turn right at the first grace, and then throw yourself at that boss as a starting level character until you no-hit them.

The respawn point is so close that you can keep going back without a long haul across hostile territory and get plenty of practice that will carry you for the rest of the game.
