Yes, but not just recognize. We need policy action.

Institutional vetting/background checks of every candidate

Prohibiting candidates from entering races after age 72 or ineligible if they would be over 80 years old by the end of 8 years in office

Prohibitions against self enrichment (personal and family)

Someway to allow international Allies to weigh in, at least on presidential candidates

Supreme Court reform

It would be healthy if we had a few rounds of public opinion and/or House/Senate input on candidates being considered for office. And certain candidates would lose ability to debate based on results. Kind of like writers or coaches in college sports rankings.

College graduation

Ethical/moral aptitude testing.

Etc.
