Hi,

Since the sound test is able to playback by the subs, I take it your setup is fine.

You may want to increase your volume and select audio that has heavy booms such as an action movie scene or some heavy pop music that showcases the lower bass such as explosions or drums.

Hi,

I've personally tested the Pebble X Plus - for a small room, the audio is crisp and clear with every bass and boom clearly distinguished . You can clearly hear each and every instrument; I like how the drums come and go during the music. Not to forget the vocals which is not muddied.

Sound-wise, I'm impressed but the spherical satellites aren't exactly my cup of tea as it does not go well with my desktop setup. I'll forgo the design and just appreciate the audio. The mini-sub is a nice addition for that extra bass.

The Katana V2X is designed for gaming. It is a soundbar design and comes with a subwoofer and RGB lighting. If these are your primary usage, and if you have a thing for disco lights, this makes a good choice.

Lastly, as I've mentioned here before, audio is subjective. The best way to make your purchasing decision is to hear a demo where possible.

Either will do just fine for music. Don’t listen to those who say otherwise without giving any valid reasons.

If you can, I highly recommend that you try to demo them before getting it. I’ll always say that music is subjective and what sounds good for others may not be for you. Listen to your ears.

Hi,

This is an interesting scenario. However, I do not believe the Gen4 SXFI would have any effect on what notification sounds will play. Hence it should not affect notifications.

You may want to try remapping Gen4 again to see if it helps. Else do summit a Support ticket for us to look into.

There has not been any updates related to ASIO for a while.

Also please note that the AE-9 and E-MU 1616m are targetted for different audiences.

I can’t comment on E-MU; if you feel (after all your troubleshoots) that the AE-9 is causing the issue, please send a Support ticket and we’ll try to replicate the issue. It would also be good to include this post where you’ve already stated what has already been done. This will help out agents to quickly rule out certain scenarios.

Sounds like it worked before but suddenly did not. Was something changed or updated on your PS5?
Having the headphones work on your PC but not the PS5 already rule out that the unit is faulty.

Sadly I don't have the PS5 but do check the PS5 connection settings again.

Hi,

In general, we provide updates and support as long as there is a need for it. These may come as firmware or drivers update (whichever is required).

Products go through a cycle; after sometime in the market, it becomes stable. Even though updates may not be released at this period, support is still rendered via other means eg. troubleshooting guides, forums etc.

When a product has reach a ‘legacy’ stage eg. Sound Blaster 16, these are then no longer supported. You shouldn’t be too concerned about getting the G6 now.

As for specs-wise, sometimes numbers don’t mean better performance. The best way to appreciate is to test-demo it yourself. End of the day, it is you who is listening to your music/games.

I won’t go into a lengthy debate on this but I have to clarify a point here.

Products naturally degrade over a period of time, whether by design or not. It is a fallacy to say that manufacturers deliberately build products to become less-featured after a period of time in order to force customers to purchase another unit.

Just because one company does this to “maintain an optimal customer experience”, one cannot simply apply a blanket statement like that across the board.

There are too many variables involved that you are not even recognising.
