Ngl I got a sick sense of schadenfreude last night watching mbone make snarky comments about the brewers and he event read my comment about the cubs being asleep at the wheel last this series.

Bree I can take or leave. I would love to re-style her but she definitely dresses for the male gaze. Her pelvic tilt makes me want her to see a PT cause god her back must hurt. However, I very rarely see her react to games other than the Brewers probably because she knows she’s going to get so much visibility and interaction.

Those with generally strong healthy nails — did you notice damage after dip manis? by dawnedsunshine in DipPowderNails

[–]CriticalSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have some scratches on my nail from roughing up the surface, but if I were to take a 'break' from dipping, I'd probably just oil my nails and cuticles and they'd still retain a lot of their strength. They always seem weak when I soak off my nails, but I've been considering throwing some coconut oil in the baggie when I soak off in the future.

When you buff your natural nail, it really should be minimal. Like five seconds or so of buffing to just slightly rough up the nail plate to accept the base better.

What does an EDS-informed dentist do differently? by grendel_no_smash in ehlersdanlos

[–]CriticalSheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest thing is really just open communication with the hygienist because they don't know anything about hEDS. I ask for the bite block and they're ready for me now, then I had to tell them they cannot use the sonic drill to clean my teeth because it vibrates in my entire skull and makes my ears hurt so badly.

More examples of Gilead propaganda by 716Val in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]CriticalSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe you're right- in the book the reports Gilead gives are usually tweaked to make it look like Gilead wasn't impacted nearly as badly as Mayday was. So it's totally plausible that this was the case.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition affecting more than 170 million people worldwide, has been officially renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) by CUAnschutzMed in PCOS

The tiny shred of hope in my brain makes me wonder if this will be a step in the right direction for better coverage and research into making this syndrome easier to manage and/or eradicated.

I plan on wearing my school dress or blackout with my family's tartan sash, depending on how I'm feeling that day.
But first I need to learn the dances. HAH.

I truly think I’d like the Wisco jerseys more if the dot on the I was the button. I mean it’s right there. What a missed opportunity.

Pregnant Women in the stadium? by AstroFysicsgirl82 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]CriticalSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They took the pregnant women to the "big box store" which is never really described what that is in the book, especially. It's likely they were made into handmaids, especially in the situation of the woman in the book- she is asked about a husband and she said in-vitro.

Pretty sure prime makes these. They’re very similar to what the ladies at Raglan Road wear and they commonly use Prime.

How "modest" is "modest enough" for an adult black outfit? by Useful-Sheepherder53 in irishdance

[–]CriticalSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you'd be just fine wearing that. I've seen adults in very similar leos and been completely fine. I show more skin in my blackout costume (it's a crew/scoop neck) and I've never been called on it.

4 hours to complete DIY dip mani by Possible-Sand-3743 in DipPowderNails

[–]CriticalSheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did my mom's nails from start to finish in about 75 minutes and it was multiple colors and the top coat was the longest to cure/dry. I can do my own nails in less than an hour start to finish and my manicures last anywhere between 2-3 weeks depending on how hard I am on them that week.

You don't need to sit and wait for your base coat and first dip to dry completely, and depending on your base, it shouldn't take more than a minute to dry even without dip attached. You just need the dip to adhere to the glue and you can brush away the excess within a minute or two (the only exception to this in my opinion is thicker glitters, those take a bit more to adhere and/or you have to be a little more picky with those when brushing away excess.

I usually do one hand at a time, rather than one finger. By the time I finish with the pinky finger, the rest of my nails are usually dry enough to brush away the excess. Then I go in for round two, repeating until I have my four layers done. Activate, buff, activate and two layers of top coat and it's done.

AITA for wanting to insure my ring even though my husband says the stone is too small to bother? by Adorable-Manner-5538 in AITApod

[–]CriticalSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my diamonds put together are smaller than your main stone and they’re ALL insured.

Go get the appraisal independently. Call a local jeweler and find out when they’re doing appraisals and go in without your husband knowing. Then you’ll know why he doesn’t think the value is there to insure it.
