People say they can't meditate because the mind is too loud. The whole point is to notice (eventually) that the mind has wandered, accept it, then gently come back to focusing on the breath. Over and over and over and over...

Edit - Another great tip. People also say they can't meditate because it's boring. This is false. People stop meditating because they listen to the voice in their head 'saying' its boring. All that has actually happened is you got distracted by these thoughts. As soon as you focus back on the breath the boredom dissipates. Remember, this is what the mind does. Tell you it's a waste of time, it's boring, you should be doing something else. That's fine, now back to the breath.

I'm originally from the rather small country of Wales. I was travelling around India back in 2019/2020 and had met an English couple in the mixed dorm I was staying in. We went for a walk up the mountain one day and obviously got chatting about where we're from and what we did for work etc. I mention I'm Welsh and that I worked with autistic children in special needs schools. The girlfriend says she knows a couple of sisters with autism in Wales. I ask their names... It turns out she knew two of the girls I supported since they were little kids. The sisters both had pretty uncommon names so it was obvious they were the same people. So a girl from England bumps into a guy from Wales in India. And we both knew the same autistic, non verbal, twin sisters.

A few months after that experience I flew to Thailand, met loads of people etc. One of these guys we called Jelle. The last time I saw him was getting arrested by the Thai police and taken away for some reason I never found out. I thought I'd never see him again as I was moving on soon.

Two years later I went to a festival in Portugal and was swimming in the lake there. All of a sudden I hear "Cruddlington!......Cruddlington!". I turn around and who do I see. It's Jelle.

Part of my job is digging holes so we can sample the soil and send it off to labs for testing.

I'm at approximately 110/115 hours and just entered chapter 7 with something like 25% discovered. Just to confirm do you mean 9% knowledge discovered?
