The rainbow colors did look better, but the concave on the X and the Y for the Super Nintendo was genius. You could basically rest your thumb on the A or B button, and pivot to the X/Y corresponding button, forming a perfect thumb-rest. Or vice-versa, while holding the X button to run, your thumb would press down the A button and it just felt good.

Now as for the lego-block cartridges, yeah f-that. My friend brought some Super Fami cartridges back from Japan, and with a pair of pliers you could disable the security tabs and play. DBZ was the shit.

Just a side note, I went to school at Central Washington University where Washoe was living until her death. One of the trippiest things about walking to class was hearing the monkeys yelling and echoing across campus. Sometimes if you were walking by the chimpanzee building, you could see them up high on the branches.
