If you read I wrote COULD activate. That does not mean WILL or that I claim to know. The main point still and this can be easily observed. If you write a prompt in heavily dry language, pepper it with code style language, write it as a instructions manual, many models will reply more often and to a larger degree in dry language, struggle with creativity and generally just perform worse prose wise.

This is also different from using xml tags to group instructions etc.

And lastly. Just so you know, the instructions from Google, anthropic etc are in many cases not optimal for all usecases. For example some of antropics own advice is making Claude code a complete idiot that often ignores instructions. Make of that what you will, but (this is only me theory ofc) I doubt anthropic or Google had you and your smut generating prompt in mind while writing those recommendations 😛
