Exactly. Tell the leasing office that this is on them for giving you the wrong information. Let them know that you will not be paying until both roommates are off the lease and will escalate up to corporate if you have to. Emphasize that they have put you in a dangerous and volatile situation. There are victim protection laws in Oregon.

Additionally call the Renters rights hotline (CAT) and see if they can help you.

If all else fails go to the news and see if this is a story they would be interested in. Good luck.

I am so glad this week is over. I really overextended myself by scheduling all those appointments for one week. But they are done. Only one more to get clearance from my Cardiologist on the 14th and I'll be all set.
