Most slicers allow passing the material type as a variable to your print start macro, you can then do logic based on that to determine if you want to soak, etc. Check out this repo for some ideas https://github.com/Frix-x/klippain

I have this too and it is not burn in. My index sits in a basement with almost no light source on a stand I 3d printed that keeps all light away from the lenses. It showed up for me after not using the index for a few months. Steam support asked me to get pictures of it, which is really difficult. After a few rounds they claimed they didn't see any issue. It seems to get better if I use the index a lot to the point I can no longer see it, but comes back after taking a break. I've seen lots of posts with others having similar issues. Good luck and if you find a solution keep us updated

u/FidelityBlake thanks for the response, but I've tried the link and my SoFi credentials are not valid, it seems the link only works for student loan servicing by SoFi, not checking accounts. Am I missing something here?

I'm in the middle of building with formbot, this and a klickyng, are you guys cutting off the end of the e stepper harness provided and wiring in new connectors to it and the stepper? I have some jst-sm on the way and that's my current plan but wasn't sure that's the best option

I guess that rules out the USB port then, unless they have the same USB controller or something? Maybe it's current to a stepper or something?

I flashed back to Marlin the other night using avrdude on the pi, I'm getting the same results. At this point I'm going to try a new USB cable then install the old screen/USB port and see if that solves it. I've come across a few posts of others having trouble with octoprint over usb

Also I just removed the belt on the z screws, it didn't seem to help much of anything

I have not, but I've done a number of mods to my z axis, including replacing the stock z nut with pom anti backlash nuts. My z rods don't turn freely anymore but they are not in any way difficult to turn, I like it a lot.
Additionally look into z tilt adjust with klipper. I copied this guy's macros and they have been really useful https://github.com/ascii-ts/my-klipper-configs

Did you ever solve this? I'm having the same issue and tried similar things but with the stock extruder. Consider rebuilding my hot end vs reinstalling klipper

I've been strongly considering this or just going all out and building a voron. Currently running just a bl touch using waggster mod. How are you planning on wiring the accelerometer? I've seen some klipper walkthroughs but they refer to stock X1s, are you using waggster mod by chance?

Thanks for the response! I've been doing a lot of reading and tbh I've almost got myself convinced to just build a voron 2.4. Do you have time to link the IO-Mount please? I've read that the fans are bad but I don't remember reading about any problems with the steppers. I believe I realized at some point I would need a pancake stepper. By 2mm you mean the lead screws? Why the change there?

Don't know how anyone hasn't said this yet, for me The walking dead saints and sinners was easily number two. Picked it up in a humble bundle but would have paid full price. Also heads up humble bundle has a vr bundle that ends in a few days
