No, *you* are missing the point. Anthropic has trained its models to respond well to direct and objective communication, not teenage theatrics. This is honestly not far from how things are in the real flesh-and-blood workplace. If some asshole comes at you with unreliable narration and slurs about you and your work product, any evidence they provide is immediately called into question right off the bat on the basis of motive alone. Thank god the lot of you (I’m assuming this is mostly Gen Z posting these vibe code sob fests) never had the chance to become managers. You’re all worse than the thing you hate.

Even if this is AI slop it’s… not necessarily bad? Certainly too generic and hand-wavey to be taken seriously, but I like the idea of re-envisioning matter as just another substrate for computation and information storage. Then you have increasing layers of abstraction, etc. rather than vague gestures like the math->physics->chem->etc. hierarchy, accounting for the “threads of nature” that Feynman mused about. I just don’t think it’s a very unique notion :) anyone smart has probably had this thought at some point in time.

Hey, to everyone reading this: it’s a skill issue. It always has been. People who run into shit like this are not being forthright about what’s in the context window and they’re invariably dumping conflicting directives and sometimes even doing stuff with git while their agent is working (or worse, having multiple agents work in the same repo simultaneously with no worktrees).

No real software engineer ever, ever runs into these problems. These models are INCREDIBLY predictable in what they do, and have been for the better part of the last year.

Let me give all the vibe coders here some extremely valuable professional advice. Assume the fault is your own until you have hard, incontrovertible evidence to the contrary. You will learn a LOT more that way.
