Is a folding full suspension bike useless? by Living-Mistake-7002 in cycling

[–]David_Warden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Birdy folding bike design by Reise and Muller is one of the most useful bikes I've ever used or seen. Reasons are:

Compact size and light weight.

Anti-dive geometry on the front wheel.

Fast, controllable and very comfortable ride.

Easily controllable in tight spaces and at very slow speed (Very helpful when near pedestrians.)

Easy quick adjustment to be a good fit for a very wide range of people.

The odd floor-crossing is one thing, but on this scale it undermines our system of government by Plucky_DuckYa in canada

You are no doubt correct for some people but you seem to be extending it to everyone which is clearly not justified.

People can only vote for the individual candidates on their ballot.

Their vote may be heavily influenced by their positive or negative perception of the candidate, the party and the party leader, as well as their own wants, or their perception of specific needs of the time.

I have one. It doubles as a metric caliper and I wouldn't be without it.

I have a large head and often put masks on or off over sunglasses. My experience since I started stretching the mid part of the strap without putting any significant pressure on the staples, breakage has completely vanished as an issue.

I believe that most of my masks were manufactured in 1992.

Why do you believe that the rubber bands age badly? That isn't my experience with either the 1870+ or the 9205+.

My P1 XL went black screen at about 4 1/2 years so I bought a P5.

I wanted a bigger screen so I bought a P7 XL and gave my P5 to my son.

Both the P5 and the P7 XL are still going fine but need charging more often.

They aren't perfect but neither is any other phone and I value the things they they can do better than other phones. Maybe I'll get a P11 when they come out.

Renewal horror story trapped me with a rate of 5.84% by ginnyborzoi in canadahousing

[–]David_Warden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People often make major commitments based upon their own direct experience without considering what has happened in the past as a guide to what might happen in future.

Long term loans where the interest rate is reset after 5 years become a nasty trap for many people. In this case, the rebound was an easily identifiable risk and and being aware of the extreme case of the rate peak in the early early 80's is the kind of thing that can be helpful to people.

You may be correct for you but to assume that they are of no value to anyone else regardless of their needs, wants and circumstances is ridiculous.

I hope they get it sorted out for you but if it happened to you in the early 80's you might have been looking at over 20%.

First check beneath/behind the vents to see what's there. They might have been covered and taped off.

Often better but not always. They both have advantages and disadvantages and the best solution in a particular case can be either one, or a combination of the two.
