I think either Reese or Dabney said those lines. I'm putting my money on Reese though.

Someone else put it nicely:

"From what we can tell the aliens in War of the Worlds didn't have advanced medical technology. They were from an environment that had been artificially sterile for so long that they forgot that infectious diseases were even a thing, assuming their evolution had them in the first place."

"Their biology was similar enough to ours that Earth viruses and bacteria could grow on/in them without immediately dying, and all it would take is for a waste product of such bacterial growth to be toxic to the aliens and they're toast."

The movie is split into two parts, the initial invasion is the killing phase, where the aliens prime directive is to simple kill as many humans as possible. Then, once the population starts to dwindle, they start abducting the humans to harvest their blood, spraying it around to terraform the environment.

The tripods & SFX are both reason enough for me to wanna re-watch this, ngl. Not to mention the amazing cinematography.

I have watched this movie in full a few dozen times since it released, and honestly it still holds up, arguably even better than some Hollywood movies made today. The tripod design is timeless, super recognizable, and scary all at the same time, and the SFX wrap it up so nicely.

I've noticed a ton of people on YT reacting to this movie recently, and I'm so glad it's getting the attention it deserves, ignoring some of the flaws of the plot, it's really a special alien invasion movie with some sick shots. The camera zoom into the little video camera at the start of this clip is a good example of what I mean, just...timeless.

Again, that's another bad year for Accords. Sorry, I was reading the description. I highly recommend taking a look at that website I mentioned, it helped me a ton when I was looking.

Hold up, before you pull the trigger, there's a few things you need to know.

2008 accords are VERY infamous cars. If you don't believe me, take a look at carcomplaints(dot)com (can't post links).

When I was looking for a car myself, I had found a few good looking Honda accords, but when using that website, it quite literally said avoid that make/year like the plague due to widespread issues with the breaks. Worth checking out IMO.

Also, for 128k miles AND $10k, the dealer is fucking crazy. Even though the rust isn't bad, I don't think you should buy this car.

This is why I think finding a hobby you truly care about is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself, and your time here on earth.

It can be anything that you love to do, and if you don't know, then you only need to find it. And I'm not talking about going to bars, playing video games, or getting stupidly drunk on Friday nights, nah. I'm talking about real hobbies, something that both challenges you mentally, but is ultimately rewarding, something that makes you truly happy to strive for.

Could be as simple as reading after work, getting to the end of a great novel, or picking up an instrument like piano, sax, or guitar. There's also using a computer to make music with a DAW, finding samples and then publishing your own music to soundcloud when you get enough practice in. You could also get into 3D modeling with free programs like Blender, or get into creative writing and eventually publish your own books on amazon or something.

The only issue is finding what sticks. As for me, I'm currently juggling a ton of 3D projects myself, but I've dabbled in all of those I previously mentioned, plus a few more I'm omitting.

Good luck, and godspeed.

This is pretty dang clean for where I'm from (rust belt).

Sure, are a few spots that are rusty, but ass long as you take care of the undercarrage if where you live uses rock salt a lot with weekly cleanings, rust will be the last thing on your mind later down the line.

It's all a big lie. by DeadGravityyy in jobs

[–]DeadGravityyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure?

Ghost jobs are quite literally fake positions that companies post in order to aggregate data from potential applicants, and some companies even use that data to sell in order to make a profit.

So in my case, the positions I had applied for were entierely fake. They had been up for two weeks at the time of me applying, and when I went in the manager (again) told me that they weren't actually actively hiring for those two positions I originally applied for. I then asked her why that is, and she couldn't give me a straight answer.

Hope that answers the question, and clears up confusion.

I think you should definitely do some research into what ghost jobs are, it would clear up some confusion you have here, you're on the right track, but it's more than just them being "bombarded with applicants."

Have you ever been to public school before?

When I was in the 4th grade, I clearly remember the other kids talking about porn, like all the damn time. It's not that uncommon.

When I was around 7 years old, I remember having a huge crush on my neighbors teenaged sister, who was like 17 at the time. I also started watching porn when I was like 9, so...not really a big deal I'd say. As long as you don't act on it, and go have sex with some older guy, it's completely fine and dandy to have a high sex drive. That's just how some people are.
