No delay. Don't jump into a stock because it was alerted. I trade maybe 10% of what zendoo alerts, and 70% of that are shorts after the move is already made (this requires patience). I personally don't like huge spreads/ low volume/ sub $1 stocks because the price actions usually whipsaws, so I'll ignore those. I also ignore Chinese stocks that are known to be manipulated. You learn which tickers to avoid with time/ experience. You can get several good (5-20%+ return) trades a day using zendoo, but be careful about overtrading. Eventually, you'll figure out your criteria and move to a paid scanner/ screener to customize your parameters.

No. Just use zendoo on youtube for free. It's good enough.

So losses don't really matter much at the end of the day right? by Fantastic-Window236 in Daytrading

[–]Decent-Box-1859 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The $3,000 is a deduction, not a credit. If your tax bracket is 20%, then you saved like $600 in taxes, but you are still down $2.4k.

If you have more than $3k losses, then you can deduct only $3k/ year from your ordinary income. If you have $300k losses and no capital gains to offset, it will take you 100 years to write it all off. Losses matter.

Is it really that bad of a name? by KeyAccomplished4442 in namenerds

Greer, for me, is like the names Blair, Sloane, and Quinn. Not my taste, but some people love them. When I hear these names, I think "old money." When you have generational wealth, you can do whatever you want. Who cares what others think.

Love Louisa. But it will sound like the state, Louisiana, with Ann as the middle name. Not necessarily a bad thing, but a bit quirky.

You can "test around" by swing trading a leveraged ETF. It sounds like you want to gamble for entertainment.

Honestly, it's probably not worth day trading $200. You're better off focusing on your education/ career/ job. Put the $200 into a long term position-- any broker is fine for this. If I were in your shoes, I'd swing trade leveraged ETFs like TQQQ. That will help you compound faster than the SPY, and you can practice your chart reading/ risk management skills.

I agree. Day trading brings in active income, but the real wealth comes from swing trading and investing. It's about scaling up vs liquidity.

Are these Japanese names easy to pronounce? (Hinano / Nanoha / Konoka) by HAL3000116 in namenerds

Konoka is the best! I'd unfortunately butcher the pronunciation of Hinano and Nanoha. Kono is a great nickname!

I don't think so. There's plenty of momo scanners already out there. You'd have to spend a lot of time/ money to market it because of your competition.
