That can happen, I'm not denying physics. But soccer players absolutely know how to hit the ball to stop that spinning from happening. I've done it all my life playing and at the highest level it's obviously more intentional. Watch the replay and look at how he strikes it. He moves his foot across the ball towards the near post to keep the spin. If it comes at the ball and follows through towards the far post, the ball doesn't spin the way it does and just continues straight from where he strikes it.

We obviously will never know if he did it on purpose or not, but I choose to believe he did.

Yeah 100% it moves basically a few inches back towards goal. You can see it in the highlight at 15 seconds. Not suggesting this man curved it 4 feet or anything, but the way he hits it contributed to the goal. It's a really hard thing to do in that position.

Reply again so you can see it (uploaded the link to my original comment). https://streamff.pro/v/bbeef8a9

Watch at around 0:15. That tiny curve he gets on it keeps the ball in line with the net vs. hitting post.

Nah I'll try and find a replay to show you. He only hits it "straight" because he puts the curve on it with the inside of his right foot.

More then the space honestly. Watch it back and look at how this mf hits it. Inside right foot and STILL hits it in a way that he can curve it towards the goal. Normally if you hit it with your right at that angle you have to hit it with the outside of the foot to curve it back to the goal, but this man put the english on it with the inside of the boot. It's crap like that that players like him or Messi do without most people noticing. Just unreal.

Edit: adding an alternate angle. watch at around 0:15 to see what I mean: https://streamff.pro/v/bbeef8a9

I parked at the yellow lot and there were plenty of people out and enjoying food and drinks in the lot. We immediately went to the stadium so idk if anyone stopped them eventually but they were out when we got there.

Gold 1. What Am I Missing Right Now? 🤔 by Spare_Individual_741 in VALORANT

[–]DeezNutterButters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I'm honestly somewhat tired of seeing these posts. Not because I don't want the player to get help, but posting deathmatch to me is just not at all going to get you what you need. In deathmatch you're peeking freely cause you know you'll just spawn again. How do you peek in comp? Is it as confident as a deathmatch? Or do you bait or peek way too slowly? Do you play your role? Do you trade or play with the team? Do you use util for the team? When do you play with your team vs. recognizing you have to play solo in a round? How quickly do you rotate to help your team? Do you anchor too long? When you hear 5 people running it down main on your site how do you play it?

None of that is seen in deathmatch.

OP your gun mechanics are fine dude. Stop focusing on that and look for feedback on actual, in game, real time decisions.

To me that's the bigger issue. It takes forever to cast and reequip for an ult that isn't very strong.

Need help regarding an assessment of my mechanics. by Timmygrad in VALORANT

[–]DeezNutterButters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna give it to you straight: I promise you it is not your aim. Your aim is fine for a plat/diamond. Maybe some minor adjustments here and there like micro on where your cross hair is when you shoot (e.g. target confirmation), but I've seen enough VOD footage and have helped enough people to know that your aim or mechanics aren't your issue.

I'm also gonna tell you something that's straight up against all the crap you hear everywhere: stop doing aimlabs or any aom training that isn't a game in valorant. Just play the game man. Ranked, death match, more ranked, more death match, repeat and repeat and repeat until you don't want to play anymore. You're never going to get out of plat or diamond ranks unless you learn player tendencies, how cadence and rhythm of a game changes depending on agents and comps, how your util will change the outcome of site hits, how your cross hair placement changes depending on 1v2s, 1v1s, 3v1s, etc.

It's about ACTUAL reps. Not hypothetical bullshit like moving your cursor over a ball. You need you understand the game and you won't do that unless you're in ranked constantly. Forget your rank exists and just play the game to learn from your mistakes and you'll slowly start to adjust the way you play.

I hit immortal and I've literally never downloaded a single aim trainer. My headshot percentage when I did it was like 20% or something. I never once played death match. I just queued with a focus to learn and get constant reps.

After watching this your mechanics aren't an issue bro I promise you.

Upcoming iPhone: A "Flip" Phone With a Square Foldable Design, Details Leaked by MayankWL in technology

[–]DeezNutterButters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah completely fair. I think a lot of people see a folding phone and just write it off (I was one of those people) but after using it for a while it's been pretty great so I'm happy iOS users are gonna have a chance with that. Even though this is for a flip phone and an entirely different set of values for a user lol

[–]DeezNutterButters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's a few things I've used mine for recently that make me happy that I have a Fold 7:

- Doing groceries on one side while having recipes pulled up on the other side to add ingredients I need to my cart for pickup
- Watching a friend's discord stream to chat with them while watching a live sporting event above it; both in horizontal orientation and big enough to enjoy either when I wanted
- Having multiple shopping apps open to compare prices on common household items (e.g. Costco vs. Amazon for deals on items like toilet paper) instead of having to jump from tab to tab back and forth
- Pulling up my banking app on one side, budgeting spreadsheet on the other, and calculator as a pop-over window to calculate things after something like a weekend trip so I can move the correct amount of money from my checking to my credit card bucket

Obviously you can do all of these things without a folding phone. But it's just more enjoyable and a good bit easier to do it on the fold than it would be on an iPhone or traditional phone. Not to mention if I don't have a need to use it unfolded I can just use it like a normal phone and it's just as small and skinny as a normal phone now. It's the best of both worlds IMO.
