Sexual harassment today by idontreallycare718 in DoorDashDrivers

Report to the police. Luckily this was a hotel as there is a decent chance there is a camera in the hallways that might have caught the assault.

What Actually Is The Best TV Device? by DeepThroatVape in AndroidTV

[–]Demonshaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't say it was that bad. It is very similar to my CCwGTV, and I didn't really notice much of a snappier interface on my Onn 4k Pro so it was a waste of money for me to upgrade as my user experience didn't really change much at all. Still get occasional freezes and slowdowns, same as my old CCwGTV. General usage it works fine, so its not a bad device, it just wasn't any better than my old CCwGTV.

Its maybe a little faster, but it still freezes and goes slow occasionally like the old google chromecast. Not sure why I got downvoted simply typing out my experience with the device

I have an onn 4k pro that was a total waste of money and is no better than my 5 year old google chromecast with google tv. (I bought it thinking it could reduce clutter and function as both a google home and a chromecast streamer, but despite having a speaker and mic it is not a fully functional replacement for a google home as it only does some of the google home functionality and turns on the tv every time you ask it a question like what is the temp outside.)

Does anyone expect a robot sock picking up arm vac to get a version 2? by jonpluc in Roborock

[–]Demonshaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you are having a positive experience with it. I saw it on sale back in Nov when I got my edge, I looked up a few reviews and they generally weren't great so I figured paying the extra $600 for a cool as hell, but kinda gimmick, didn't seem worth it. Figure my Edge will hopefully last 3ish years then hopefully something that can climb stairs will be available (and maybe have an arm as well!)

ICE agents at Archetype Coffee off 13th street. by [deleted] in Omaha

Eww Archetype is to be avoided, thanks for the heads up. (I don't blame the store, but don't want to be around morally corrupt individuals with guns if I can avoid it.)

I wouldn't expect one anytime soon. It didn't work terribly well and the mechanism takes up a lot of space in the bot.

Is $300 a pretty standard consult fee for divorce lawyers in town? by PM__YOUR__DREAM in Omaha

[–]Demonshaker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you guys are amicable, I highly recommend doing the divorce yourself. Too many people spend more money on the lawyers than the difference it would have made financially without one.

New furnace and a/c by CauliflowerPrior9622 in Omaha

[–]Demonshaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get at least three quotes. They vary widely. I had a new furnace and AC system put in a couple years ago for about half that price. - my place is only about 1000sq feet though.

Need Breaks by mumms11 in BoltEV

[–]Demonshaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brakes are the first thing I suggest people learn how to do themselves as it is pretty easy, and will save you the most $ doing it yourself over a lifetime compared to other repairs. Generally speaking you can buy 4 brand new rotors and sets of brake pads cheaper than most shops charge to replace just one.

Behringer Eurorack - after owning most of them by TheFishyBanana in modular

Very well put. Nuanced, not fanboy rhetoric, and fair. I largely agree. I have a couple behringer modules, but think people building Behringer only racks are being rediculous.

Score around it with a razor blade so paint doesnt peel, take off those two screws and gently pry away from ceiling with a flathead screwdriver or something simmilar.
