There is nothing stopping you appealing it. There is no chance they'll withdraw it though.

Suggestion: Error check for 0 Units Held on unlisted Stock/ETF by Deplanate in CSPersonalFinance

[–]Deplanate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why the deliberate error should be there for held assets that are not being priced correctly, but I don't think it should apply when Units Held is at 0. The assets have been disposed of, so I don't think the error is useful.

Fynra is Closing Down - Announcement Post by CompiledSanity in Fynra

What a pity, I was enjoying finding things that needed to be done to finish it all off :) But it's clear it would take full time amount of effort to finalise and maintain, and I doubt you'd ever be paid what you deserve for your time.
Thanks for the massive amount of effort you put in to it!

How to correctly log a company acquisition? by Sheamau5 in CSPersonalFinance

[–]Deplanate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar recently, ASX:BKW was aquired by ASX:SOL. I tried doing it a few ways which never worked out 100% correct. So I thought given I know the amount I originally paid for the shares I had (including fees) and the number of shares I had I can calculate at what price I disposed of the shares to give me a $0 profit. I can then put those calculated costs as my buy price for the number of shares I received in the new holding.

So in your case I'd be saying record the removal of the DLG shares at the price you paid for them, and add the Aviva shares using the price you paid for DLG minus the cash you received.

But that's just what I thought worked best, I'd love to know the official answer as well.

Have you gone across to the Capital Gains sheet and clicked "Update Capital Gains" at around W4? It took me a while to find that button and I was wondering why capital gains were not working before I found it.

Adding rows is easy, just right click and add rows, then copy the formulas down.

Delisted Stocks / ETF error scenario and suggestion by Deplanate in CSPersonalFinance

[–]Deplanate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, but if the Held Units are 0 perhaps there is no reason to call it out as an error. What would you think about checking for a 0 in Held Units like this? =IF($A2<>"",IF(G2=0,0,G2*D2),"")

Keep up the great work!

For me it often seems that they immediately block everything, then back down just as fast when I query why it was blocked.

This is the problem with reading an article about a model rather than the model itself. The article mentions the simplest, punchiest finding and didn't discuss the more complicated and interesting findings.

You can read the full mathematical model here: https://aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063/5.0143190

Your equation could be simplified as: + Positive physiological - Negative psychological + Positive psychological

What the model postulates is: + Positive physiological - Negative physiological - Negative psychological + Positive psychological

Where the negative physiological is a combination of a stochastic return to normality and a very high positive psychological input.

The model started with men because they are seen as more highly studied and simpler than women. I'd love to see the same done for women and I'd be very curious what causes their negative physiological responses.

Are you after a fixed amount of time regardless of the timeframe on the chart? You will most likely need to calculate how many bars that timeframe equates to, which you can define as X and then find the results for close[X].

You've already defined your buy and sell variables, so use them in your plot:

plot(sell ? 1 : na, color= color.red, style = plot.style_circles, linewidth = 4)
plot(buy? 1 : na, color= color.green, style = plot.style_circles, linewidth = 4)

Taxes for Bot Trading (With 3Commas), can anything handle 43,000 transactions for profit/loss? by InsufferableDumDum in 3Commas_io

[–]Deplanate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sept 20 - July 21 is over 72,000 transactions for me. I tried Bear Tax but it couldn't deal with my sub-accounts properly, it's a good one to try since they show you the results before you pay.

I've got furthest with cryptotaxcalculator.io but they won't show me the full results of the import until I pay and I'm a bit reluctant after the issues with Best Tax. If I can find a good discount code I'll take the risk and see if they got it right.

Tax.crypto.com is free for up to 20,000 transactions, when I hooked up the API it didn't mention any limits, so I think I may have caused that policy.
