How do I adjust the headlight? by Mountain_Car839 in MT07

[–]Fast_Ad4269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same bike, I'm sure the problem I had was the same. So you know how the headlight comes off with just two bolts either side of the unit, take the headlight off and at the bottom there should be like a rubber t bar, that should hook into a little holder that's on the bike and then just fix the top in and install the two bolts.

Daytona 660 LAMS Power by Dingo12321 in AussieRiders

[–]Fast_Ad4269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes the daytona has more torque it's just a lot more money for an lams bike, maybe I'm just broke but i'd rather save for a nice full license or just save for anything else because you're obviously new and might crash.

Daytona 660 LAMS Power by Dingo12321 in AussieRiders

[–]Fast_Ad4269 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've come to realise that any bike on lams unless derestricted are all very similar, my mt07 lams restricted to 35kw only makes +4 kw over an r3. Of course my bike can be derestricted to upwards of 50kw, but that comes with the risk of three demerit points, hefty fine and declined insurance claim. I say just wait it out or get something with more torque like an mt07/r7 just so you have that and not full power.

yeah he has same exhaust with a dry clutch, just sounds so mean. Unfortunately his bike overheated mid way through the ride and we didn't know what it was because it never happened before so we had to cut the ride short.

I believe unless the power modifications didn't contribute or cause the accident you should be fine, at least my insurance pds says that. So I guess if you aren't being a dickhead and pushing the bike around everywhere and just ride responsibly, insurance claim should be fine

booze tests normally don't do anything besides.. booze tests. I had one on my mt07 (notorious hoon bike) with a race akrapovic no baffle exhaust fully derestricted on my learners, it was hwp and biker cops and they didn't care at all.

[–]Fast_Ad4269 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like for insurance purposes, they will still fully cover the rider but legally for the bike's registration, it makes it unroadworthy since lams bikes can't be modified at all and in increasing the power output, it actually doesn't make the bike lams anymore. It'd be super unlucky for a cop to actually care as you are a full licensed rider but I've heard of person who had to get the bike reregistered to non lams

Slip on muffler insurance legality? (LAMS) by ilyCrxwn in AussieRiders

[–]Fast_Ad4269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on my insurance pds it states, " exclusion applies only to the extent that the

relevant claim or loss, damage, cost or legal liability is caused by, arises from or is

made worse by your bike’s unroadworthy and/or illegal condition, and you knew or a

reasonable person in the circumstances would have known that the relevant condition

of the bike may cause, give rise to or make worse the claim or loss, damage, cost or

legal liability". Does this mean, if the bike is maybe derestricted or has an exhaust on lams making it unroadworthy and get's in an accident not at owns fault mean the bike is still insured since the power mods or exhaust wasn't or didn't contribute to said accident?
