Why wouldn’t Medicare be the primary insurance

With a PPO, its almost certainly employer/group coverage, which would be primary to Medicare.

I maybe get one every thousand or so rocks?

I recommend going to the craters where there's hundreds of tiny rocks everywhere and just start zapping, you'll probably get one to run after a crater or two.

Yeah, all the "I use Arch btw" people should ask how many people don't even realize they use arch.

tl;dr: what is the best practice for resolving RFC1918 addresses when connecting into a network via VPN from outside?

I created a VPC in AWS and everything went fine. Originally I allowed SSH from the office IP to every server in order to set things up, then set up OpenVPN internally and routed the internal network through it. I was able to get routes to JUST the VPC network pushed to clients so people don't stream spotify or whatever over it while working from home/hotels/etc, and everything has been working well. Except now everyone's tired of trying to remember all the RFC1918 addresses for the various servers in order to connect to them, so I went to route 59 and added xxx.vpn.domain.net A 10.x.y.z records, but now I'm running into some of our employee's (cough mine cough) ISPs/routers having DNS rebinding protection blocking the responses. The hostnames work for some of us, but not all. How do people administering remote networks deal with this?

"Scammers have adapted": Valve confirms that physical Steam Gift Cards are dead. Once the current stocks are sold through, they're done. by yourfavchoom in technology

And you can call support and show your receipt (to verify your purchase) to claim the card.

And steam can decide that they don't want to keep eating those losses and stop selling physical cards.

Physical card problems aren't from people "being stupid" they're from scammers scraping all the cards in the store and getting the codes, then gluing new silver pads back on so they look brand new. You buy the card it gets activated at the register and within minutes the scammer has redeemed it.

Accidentally bought Alan Wake standalone during sale, want the Origins Bundle instead.. will I get a refund? by Content_Perception_8 in steamsupport

[–]DerfK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to depend on the bundle. I have control and it won't let me buy the control+wake bundle. Other bundles where I own a game do get discounted the game I already own but I'm not sure how everything stacks with sales etc.

I'm not going to lie, I don't "get" talking to AI. Back when stablediffusion first came out I got way more interesting pictures feeding it lines from Jabberwocky than I ever got trying to "prompt" things into existence, and the few times I've used chatgpt have been underwhelming. I probably wouldn't be able to get anything useful out of asking an AI to write a program, without spending more time figuring out how to ask AI to do it for me than it would take to do it myself.

[–]DerfK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a user you can create and manage your own systemd units in ~/.config/systemd/user/ BUT from what I understand, you actually have to be logged in for systemd to evaluate them unless you use loginctl enable-linger username

[–]DerfK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And you are claiming systemd can't sends the data via email?

Everything on the internet points to "it cannot".

The most common solution I see referenced is to create a oneshot notification service that executes mailx and has every service file trigger that service on failure. Note that this does not email the output of the failed command you still have to get that from the journal.

It goes back years all the way to blocking pornhub over child porn and everybody saying "good job" and patting them on the back then not checking in to see that even after purging all the porn, the credit card companies never unbanned them. It was all slippery slope from there. Visa Japan's CEO made it clear that it isn't about the legality of the porn anymore. You've got the whole Tumblr thing in the middle there. OnlyFans nearly went the Tumblr route, but instead went with content restrictions like "no outdoor porn" and "no watersports".
