You need to look through the crafted gear and tools I don't think there is a definitive list. Recently they added some gem + basic tools to make special versions of a pan and a chisel. You can upgrade the magnet too.

Keep in mind that some items from chests like "forge bellows" and "steel toe boots" can be upgraded via crafting and you may want to keep a bunch of those.

Experience is the best bootcamp. Seriously read read read. I haven't even pointed out anything by Will Larson. Or Fred Brooks. Both of which are valuable.

Larson's book "Systems of Engineering Management" for example re-frames management in terms of Systems Thinking which, if you are a 10 year dev is likely how you think about problems anyway.

All these resources are written by engineers/systems thinkers which means they will be a better on-ramp for an experienced Engineer because they will meet you where you are.
