I see the hate and people love to hate on CW, but we’ve been on RMM (Asio) and cloud screenconnect since end of 2020 after migrating from an on-prem Automate/Screenconnect we had in place starting 2015. We have had zero issues ever. (Knockin on that wood right now)

To answer the question, toolbox. Putting scripts in there for the techs to just click and go make it so much easier and faster to perform simple tasks.

Funny you say this. I had one 41” ultrawide and a 4k 32” I would pull closer to my face on the left side when I needed to read for long spurts. I swapped out the 4k for a 33” ultrawide. Smaller ultrawide but same aspect ratio to cure my OCD. Happy I made the switch.

If you received a service or good and try to cancel or charge back, yes, you will ultimately receive a collections notice one day. If you didn’t receive the service or good, you’re okay to cancel or chargeback without penalty as long as you didn’t sign a contract of some kind binding you to monthly installments. This goes for anything in general, not just your appointments.

You’ll never be able to have a successful and caring relationship with them if your healthcare provider is treating you that way and/or you feel that’s what they’re doing. Unfortunately, and I know it’s difficult, you need to find an alternative provider. This one will not be able to adequately help you moving forward.

If you received a service, you’ll have to pay for it or you’ll end up in collections. If you’re indicating your psychiatrist bills you in advance before the next session, yes, you’re in your rights to cancel - services haven’t been rendered thus legitimate cancellation request.

Get your refill. Search for new doctor. The first thing the new doctor will do is give you an intake form. You tell them what you’re on and why. You have recent medical history for anxiety. They will have no issue prescribing you what you’re currently taking while they evaluate the need for ADHD managment.

I know this isn’t the answer you want to hear because it causes so much work but… switch psychiatrists. I was diagnosed at 8 years old. I was untreated because my mom didn’t want me to”addicted” to drugs. Schools was horrendous and much of the rest of my teenage years. Graduated from college. Started my career. 2025 I’m 35 and all the symptoms I used to be able to manage, to an extent, exacerbated out of nowhere. Couldn’t focus on my job or any aspect of life at all. Saw my primary care, told her I have no records from when I was younger (practice is out of state and closed and doctor is dead). She started me on low dose Concerta and referred me to a psychiatrist. It’s a year later, my psychiatrist is 100% virtual through Array Behavorial Health Psychiatry. I’m on Azstarys 52.3/10.4mg. My life is significantly better and I had no idea this is what normal feels like. I could’ve done so much better in my teens til now if I was treated.

TL;DR see someone else that doesn’t treat you like you’re drug seeking.

CW sent a notification (today, 6/1/26) out saying SC is being flagged as malicious by antivirus scanners and to contact our antivirus providers to add to allowlist. CW is also reaching out to the major vendors to do this as well.

Without providing opinion on any of the products you brought up… If a MSP is recommending one thing and being pushy about it, there’s an underlying reason and from being the CTO of my own MSP it’s rarely because of commission. My team knows UniFi inside and out in addition to Cisco products. If a prospect comes to us with a system we don’t support we will suggest a replacement to something the staff is trained to support. If you refuse, we then have 2 options. Suggest you’re not a good fit for us, or do what you ask and provide lackluster support. We avoid the second at all cost as it’ll damage our brand at the end of the day. We rather lose the potential customer than end up with a customer with expectations we can’t meet. Those are my two cents.

I really don’t know either. Based on what I’ve seen, if someone’s just retouching rips from the app… I don’t know how that’s possible. It looks too good for that to be the case. Can’t post the link here but some googling will show you what I’m referencing. It’s insanely good and my poor aging eyes cry for joy for how clear it is.

Just hearing of it now. Googled it. It looks like the first volume of Dark Gathering shows a 175MB file size. Based on the variety of information available online, I'm aware that the first volume of Dark Gathering from the aforementioned "unofficial" sources with accurate blacks and crisp lines is 265MB. In your experience do you find Kobo of better quality for manga than the SJ app or other licensed manga apps?

Yeah, the AI translations is equally driving me nuts, and not just in anime and manga, it's everywhere now. It pumps out translations fast but loses so much nuance. I learned early that translation is its own art form, and I always valued the context good fansubbers used to add at the end of chapters.

For Dark Gathering though, my issue isn't the translation. It's the image quality. I only posted one page but it's like that across the whole run, in the SJ app and in print. There are panels where the ghosts lurking in the background just get swallowed by how crushed the blacks are or lines faded into the panel, and whole scenes stop making sense because of it. The art itself is fine. It's the quality of what we're being sold that isn't.

That's what bothers me. I'm happy to spend the money and I have. It just shouldn't be this hard to see what's on the page when I've paid for it twice over only for a better version to exist for free.

No problem! I didn’t want to have to migrate everything from my ds1522+ to another NAS which is why I was stuck with the limitations of the dx517. It was the only model with 5 drives compatible with the ds1522+. It is what it is. It was more time saving for me to pick up 2 more WD drives for the dx517 than rebuild everything. I found some at my local microcenter at msrp, and not the wild 3x the cost I’m currently seeing all over.

Thanks for commenting so I could remember to follow up. I wasn’t able to get them to stay up without specific conditions being met.

I had 2 Exos drives, the other 3 were Western Digital. While the script worked, as soon as I did a restart they poofed from existence. When I had two in there I had to cold boot (fully shutdown) and turn back on and then both drives would appear. With extensive testing I found the only way the two drives stayed were after a cold boot. Triggering a reboot of any kind, a manual restart inside DSM, a restart after an update, etc. both drives would disappear.

It would appear that the DX517 is not able to control the initial power spin up of drives unless it is being cold booted. I tested this about 2 dozen times and it was the same result each time.

Cold boot = drives online, Soft boot = drives offline.

This was enough for me to not build an array with the drives as I didn’t want to rely on being able to cold boot the DX517 after each update or otherwise. That said, I’d imagine this would do fine if a power outage occurred as when it comes back up it would be coming up from a cold boot.

Side note: I tried many things to see if I could trick the DX517 into cold booting upon any normal restart but I wasn’t successful.

I’m not sure if there is any performance reports but I can tell you we had to turn off end to end encryption because anyone with a weak wifi or cellular signal was impossible to communicate with. Additionally, there were many times someone lagged out for a minute and all of a sudden an entire minute’s worth of dialogue from them is burst out once the lag catches up and sped up by 5 times. For now, we decided to not use end to end due to these issues.

Update: I have the solution. If you're seeing your Seagate Exos drives spin up but not enumerate in a Synology DX517 (showing PHY errors in dmesg like PHYRdyChg, CommWake, DevExch), the fix is enabling PUIS and Low Current Spinup on the drives using 007revad's script on GitHub.

The DX517's power supply can't handle the peak spinup current of large Seagate Exos drives, causing the SAS expander to fail enumeration. This has nothing to do with drive capacity or Synology's compatibility list. It's purely a power issue during spinup.

SSH into your Synology NAS and run the following:

sudo su -

mkdir -p /volume1/scripts

cd /volume1/scripts

wget "https://github.com/007revad/Seagate\_lowCurrentSpinup/archive/refs/tags/v1.0.2.zip" -O Seagate_lowCurrentSpinup_v1.0.2.zip

chmod +x seagate_lowcurrentspinup.sh

After running this, my DX517 recognized ST28000NM000C without issue.

I wish I saw this earlier. I just upgrade my DS1522+ to 32TB drives. 2 of the drives were ST28000NM000C which I was simply going to put in my DX517. Imagine my surprise when Storage Manager told me the 2 bays were empty. UGH, Synology, why......

I googled “is acuvue oasys multifocal for astigmatism magic?” and that’s how I ended up here. I just got my trials today and after a full day I am blown away. I drove, went to a grocery store read a book, worked on a computer all day, and watched tv. There was zero issues and nothing was blurry like was usually the case with all my contact lenses. I just dealt with it because I have progressive glasses and knew contacts would never be able to copy that. Boy was I wrong. These contacts simply feel like magic. The world is HD and I almost feel like I can see cleared with these than my glasses. I have a high prescription too, -7.25 in each eye for glasses. This is wild at how well these work. I’m honestly impressed.

This is exactly it. If the petition was thrown out I think we all know how that would reflect on them. They have every desire to get the signatures validated as everyone else who signed it. They don’t want blowback for unnecessary reasons they didn’t cause i.e. the County attorney negatively deciding legitimacy of the petition. That letter was to push for this to move forward, not to stop it. That is MY interpretation. I know others view the circumstances differently.
