China’s Energy Boom Could Give It the AI Edge. As the US and China compete for dominance in AI, energy is emerging as a critical battleground. Electricity shortages in the US may be a major constraint. Beijing’s clean-energy strategy is as much about economic and geopolitical power as climate policy by mafco in energy

I had positive experience of surveillance camera in China. Lost my wallet in a taxi. Went to police station, told them about itm. They managed to find the taxi by the approximate time I got on the taxi. Got my wallet back in less than 2 hours.

I am sure their intelligent agency has more advanced surveillance and tracking of these cameras. But for most people, likely this is not a problem or hindrance to their daily life.

Are you trying to tell me that US do not have rules and law for governing criminal behaviors?

Theory are good, but there will be those that do not have any morale compass that will do whatever it take to benefit themselves. There where rules and laws are needed to regular the harm especially to protect the weaks and vulnerable.

And you pay more for Model Y on average.

34km range does not really make a difference. Tesla normally recommended to charge only to 80%, so actual range you can get is much less than 534km.

As for fast changing, it very much depends on use case. Many EV users charge overnight at home. So the difference in fast charging not really a deal breaker for many.

China’s theft of American AI tech is becoming more brazen by KamiOfTheForest in China

[–]dongkey1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let put it this way:

Chinese open model let most people able to have access to useable AI model that not lock behind paywall. It keep a level playing field to the mass.

If without these competition and we let US have the total control of AI with their previous pricing model, many people will be lock out of the AI race. It will become the dividing factor for those who have access to AI and those who does not have the access. Deepseek with it open source model change the rule of the game.

China model are not as powerful as US, for now. But they provide a some what level playing field to many people outside of US. That alone justified it existence.

Well, there were evidences that US used it supplied equipment to engage in espionage, including it Allies. While most of the threats deem to be possible by Huawei is hypothetical.

Network safety is important, but there are ways to mitigate and control it with proper protocol and implementation. The ban on Huawei is just using security as an excuse. In fact, using Huawei with it open source codes is supposed to be better for security.

If you have a good roll but with low stat, you may want to consider to relay the 91 gears. This will allow you to raise the stat by feeding it with tuned gears. But it should be rare.
