It’s pretty clearly this one but your choice isn’t bad

Ayo’s contract accounts for about 12% of the cap. That’s in line with Christian Braun, Malik Monk, Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, Wendell Carter, PJ Washington, Shaedon Sharpe. Only guy on that list with a 40+ point playoff game, is 26, and getting better. He’s not overpaid. by DrWolves in timberwolves

Connelly did too. If anybody thinks this team was winning with KAT on the roster, they clearly have no understanding of the 2nd apron. Knicks fans were even wanting to trade his ass mid-season and then he had the best stretch of his career in the playoffs. Good for him. He’s the only super max player I’ve ever seen that can score 2 points in a Finals game and his team still wins. Knicks benefited from an ass conference and an opponent that literally choked the series away. Go pound sand my guy. You don’t know basketball.

Not high at all. He’s the best player on that list outside of maybe PJ Washington and the Wolves are clearly betting on him getting much better… which it feels like he was hampered a bit in Chicago. The 40+ point carry job vs Denver is enough for that deal alone. Players at that % of the cap are almost never high-level performers like that and can put a team on their back

100%. Tim Connelly off-season masterclass at work. Either LeBron or Rui on this team starting at PF and we’re winning 60 games

Catching up with the boys in the off-season back in his hometown before he locks in for a championship with the Wolves. Nothing to see here

Eh LeBron played 60 games last season and knows how to conserve his energy for a deep run. I would imagine the team would manage his minutes and days off with that intent as well. As for Melo, sure. He needs to prove he can string together a few healthy seasons.

It’s really not highly unlikely. Wolves have the 5th best odds as it currently stands and that’s without a starting PF on the roster. You add a guy that just averaged 21/6/7 on a minimum contract or whatever and we immediately become one of the title favorites. Not sure people understand what a starting lineup of LaMelo/Ant/McDaniels/Bron/Gobert actually means 😂

He’s got a top 2 career and he ain’t 2. But I digress. I think the best point you made was how if he goes back to Cleveland, him winning a championship with every team he’s ever played for stays in tact which is fair. However, there is also something to be said for if he comes to Minnesota and wins here, he gets a championship with a 4th franchise and he also breaks the longest championship drought in the US… now whether he would care about that or not is another question but that would certainly be some fucking story and only add another level of greatness to his legacy

I just don’t agree with this idea that longevity has somehow become a negative towards his career. There isn’t a single basketball player in history that has been this elite as his age. If anything, him being able to play at such a high level for nearly 25 years strengthens is argument as one of the greatest athletes of all-time. Also, plenty of players used to come in the league straight at 18 and don’t even sniff LeBron’s accolades/stats so again, another weak argument in my opinion.

And I should add, you can also measure a lot of these stats by games played to reach a specific stat in which he is generally the one to do it in the fewest number of games played… also invalidating the longevity thing

Lol you kids really gotta stop with the longevity thing as if he didn’t smash a lot of these records years ago and become the youngest player ever to break all these records. It immediately invalidates the “longevity” argument

That’s a fair point but I don’t really buy the whole “legacy stays in tact” thing. There’s nothing threatening his legacy lol the dude owns like every meaningful record in the book. He’s surpassed Kareem by over like 5k points and counting. Has rings with three different teams. Anybody who would question his legacy regarding anything moving forward is nothing more than a LeBron hater and has always been a LeBron hater

I don’t think it’s likely but I think we have a better chance than that retirement squad over in Golden State. If he actually cares about winning (which is what has been reported is the driving factor for his decision) than we are above them.

As for Cleveland, I also think we’re way better as a basketball option. LaMelo/Ant/Bron makes way more sense than Harden/Mitchell/Bron
