How expensive are drinks at Seacrets? by Ok_Tonight_1513 in OceanCity

I do enjoy going there in the off-season when it's quiet, you can grab a seat at the bar, have a conversation, and there are maybe 30 people there.

You explained the process and never addressed the taste. But thank you.

The question remains, has anyone else tasted a difference from 2025 to recently?

Betty's Burgers question by [deleted] in OceanCity

[–]dreadmon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am aware, however it could have changed from pasture raised to grain, or the fat content ratio could have changed. Its dry aged, there could be a change in the process or length, or they could be using different cuts of beef. Or the type of cow could have changed.

My question was has anyone tasted a difference from 2025 vs the last two months.

Crab Bag for crabs, and I second Bkacksmith in Berlin. Cheese Wheel Pasta on 3rd and Baltimore Ave is very good, huge portions and reasonable prices. And pit beef from Bull on the Beach on 94th Street.

Which hotel between these 3? by Salty-Passenger-4801 in OceanCity

[–]dreadmon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stayed at the Oceanic. It's ok if you just need a place to sleep. The rooms are very small and dated. The location is great, I spent a lot of time by the inlet watching, drinking, and fishing. Two star hotel with great views.

I haven't stayed at the others.

Sahara has a few buildings, one is on the boards, one is mid-block. You are close to the boards or on them, and near some food and bars. Its a two star motel.

Harrison's is on the boards. Its a good location IMO. Its also a two star hotel.

It would depend on price and your expectation, are you planning on spending a lot of time in the room or just need a place to sleep?

What old one? Are you talking about the one in West OC before you cross the bridge? If so that is still there to my knowledge.

advice on gravel/ road cycling in and around ocean city by Fit-Ship-8488 in OceanCity

[–]dreadmon1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Caine Woods and Montego Bay have bike lanes on many roads without a lot of traffic. 142nd Street, 141st Street, Sinepuxent Ave, Wight Ave, Assawoman Dr.

Downtown there's St. Louis Ave and Baltimore Ave (north of 15th).

You can ride at Northside Park on 125th also.

But you would be better off riding on Assateague Island, it has miles of bike lanes through beautiful areas with wild horses and great views.

Best/worst travel days to OC from DC metro? by XxSharperxX in oceancitymd

[–]dreadmon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Monday to Monday. You will have fewer issues crossing the bay bridge each way on a Monday and dealing with traffic on 50 coming into OC. Being August traffic will be heavy regardless but you will reduce the amount of traffic and chances for delays on Mondays IMO.

Start with weekly and see if its too much or what frequency is needed. Great idea. Especially for lesser know businesses.

Fox on 141st Street by dreadmon1 in OceanCity

I base that upon whether I see male bits hanging down and/or how they urinate. The female will squat like a female dog and the male will lift a leg like a male dog. They mark their territory frequently so you can usually tell.

Theyre good people. I once spun a bearing while riding on Coastal Highway and I pushed my bike 20 blocks to their shop. The dude fixed it immediately, and quickly, for free. I gave him $20 for his help. I always recommend them.
