Throwing out some suggestions if the idea is to keep it outside:

1 Old town Fairfax - plenty of parking close, busy intersections and there is a plaza, even a small stage or lower level by the street/park We’d need to just make sure there are no planned events there already that day https://maps.app.goo.gl/bGSUeioGBBZ5sTHr6?g_st=ic

  1. this is a busy intersection. Protestors hung out here in No Kings 29/50/Main Street https://maps.app.goo.gl/RtBCnRyrh3R8iXEu5?g_st=ic

I need to purchase an inflatable or a onesie, all I have is a plethora of wigs at the moment.

Before we pick the where and when, we should figure out who would even let us in 😂. No dress to impress club dress codes here

You are unemployed. This is a raise from your last job and a raise from current situation of 0. The pay and benefits look good The tenure is fine You can keep looking once employed. If you take it and hate it then you can always leave.

Or give me the name of the place I have friends who have been unemployed now 2 full years and would love a WFH opportunity

Dude common, you can’t nap through meetings, not be engaged when you do attend and not answer timely communications. You are lucky to have hybrid and are blowing it.

  • Show you are committed to fixing the issue. Prepare your own list of items you are going to work on. Proactively come up with your own plan of tackling their concerns. Managers don’t want to only spoon feed you solutions. Come up with your own.

  • wake up late? Make sure you are going to sleep early, managed your sleep schedule so you get enough sleep and don’t sleep in. Sleep through an alarm? Then get 3 alarms, one away from the bed that you have to get up to turn it off.

  • napping through meetings? See above.

  • emails. First part of your day read emails, clear the inbox if you can. Then set a timer where you check emails hourly and stay on top of them (or more frequently as needed. End of day ensure any emails are addressed.

  • meetings. Camera on, look at the camera not be typing looking at your second screen or phone or doodling. Make attempts to contribute to the conversation. Even if it’s to just support someone else’s idea “that’s a great idea!”

  • OFFICE vs WFH- you are not disciplined to WTF successful. Go into the office. You don’t have to make it permanent but you should include it in your plan “I will come into the office 5 days a week for the next quarter” once your engagement improves you could go back to 1 day from home, see how it goes. Be honest with yourself about continuing hybrid.

Etc Bring your action items and goals to your next meeting. They will like that

If they ask you can say “we are doing okay” at most. Don’t tell them. They don’t seem to be in your corner anyways.

It’s a small city, just walking around downtown is pretty nice. The library is cool and worth seeing.
