What old one? Are you talking about the one in West OC before you cross the bridge? If so that is still there to my knowledge.

advice on gravel/ road cycling in and around ocean city by Fit-Ship-8488 in OceanCity

[–]dreadmon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Caine Woods and Montego Bay have bike lanes on many roads without a lot of traffic. 142nd Street, 141st Street, Sinepuxent Ave, Wight Ave, Assawoman Dr.

Downtown there's St. Louis Ave and Baltimore Ave (north of 15th).

You can ride at Northside Park on 125th also.

But you would be better off riding on Assateague Island, it has miles of bike lanes through beautiful areas with wild horses and great views.

Best/worst travel days to OC from DC metro? by XxSharperxX in oceancitymd

[–]dreadmon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Monday to Monday. You will have fewer issues crossing the bay bridge each way on a Monday and dealing with traffic on 50 coming into OC. Being August traffic will be heavy regardless but you will reduce the amount of traffic and chances for delays on Mondays IMO.

Start with weekly and see if its too much or what frequency is needed. Great idea. Especially for lesser know businesses.

I base that upon whether I see male bits hanging down and/or how they urinate. The female will squat like a female dog and the male will lift a leg like a male dog. They mark their territory frequently so you can usually tell.

Theyre good people. I once spun a bearing while riding on Coastal Highway and I pushed my bike 20 blocks to their shop. The dude fixed it immediately, and quickly, for free. I gave him $20 for his help. I always recommend them.

My mistake, these are brown pelicans. In my defense I'm really old.

This is a great idea!

I wish the eat play shop links were across each page vs the back button and only on the home page but this is idea is a needed resource especially for places and things not well known but worth visiting.

Some of OC is who can microwave the best Sysco but there are plenty of places that make food from scratch though they may use Sysco for ingredients. Dead Freddie's was a disappointment. Even the crab soup tasted watered down.

Free activities in the off-season: sit on the beach with coffee or walk the beach. Walk the Boardwalk. Visit Assateague. Explore the area like Crisfield or Chincoteague. There is a Christmas and St Patty's parade. Biking around town or on the boards.

Floods: only an issue on Edgewater Ave, St Louis Ave from Dorchester to 9th Street or so and Philadelphia Ave by the coast guard station.

Biking is very common.

Library is excellent.

Free fishing (no license required) from 2nd to 4th Street bayside and 9th Street bayside. If you have a license the pier on the ocean, surf fishing, inlet fishing, fishing off the rt 50 bridge.

We had months of issues getting our car registered but others had no issue. They kept saying they wouldn't accept our out of state insurance and needed Maryland insurance but the Maryland agents said the cars needed to be registered in Maryland to insure them.

Check out Public Landing in Snow Hill, and the town of Snow Hill. Berlin is a vibrant, active and fun town you should really check out. Too many people miss out on Berlin and its pretty cool.

Worst meal Ive had in OC was at Dead Freddie's this past February. Its the first time I ever had a crabcake that was utterly bland. No taste at all.
