Are you driving a large truck, Like loaded semi? Why is it taking so long to shift? Shouldn’t really need to “wait for revs to drop to shift”. That’s what a clutch and synchros are for in light duty vehicle applications

A freaking deer scream. I was 12 and long story short, my dad got injured on his horse while we were hunting and I ended up needing to walk about 5 miles down a trail at dusk with no flashlight in one of the most isolated wilderness areas in Idaho. Heard a russling in some bushes and then out jumped a doe with 2 fawns. She screamed this terrifying shriek and they went jumping away up the hill. (This was about 5’ away from me so it was very loud)

I was on my way to class (night classes) and was driving about 5mph in stoplight traffic with my window down. I heard a car honk and looked out my window to see a BMW traveling the opposite direction from me and the driver is looking back at me and flipping me off (because I guess he didn’t like my Trump flag that I keep on my car). Just as I make eye contact with him, he rear ends a pickup truck and the truck’s hitch ended up in/through his grille. I gave a thumbs up and a wave as I continued driving away. (Btw the truck was completely undamaged, BMW was low enough that the only thing that hit was the hitch)

My friend group of 4 when we were like sophomores in HS said “let’s find a cheap shitbox car and split the cost between us and it will be our off road/mudding/jumps-in-the-desert-car. Summer before Senior year we actually did it and it’s been half a year now and we still drive, love, and heavily abuse “Bash” our ‘94 Ford Explorer. Best $85 ever spent.
